Another bug was the camera photos not being saved properly in the camera app. This happened about 3 times in the last month.

It will only show a 0kb blur preview after snapping. The only fix back then was to restart the phone. I'm already in 15.1 and hopefully this doesn't re-appear.

Yea the battery on iPhone 12's are tricky... did you turn off background refresh etc? or try to go into airplane mode and see how much it drains overnight..
*
Actually, yes I did the thing with background refresh app, but no active apps in the background at that moment. Maybe I'll try again later, just update to latest iOS version.

Anyway anyone got the apple silicon case? Ordered one on 11/11, for rM99. Any good?

nice, plum and red matches well too..after using for a while the colour tend to come off, but on a plum it wouldnt be obvious compare to brighter colours..

Well the other option aside from plum is the kumquat, slightly orange/ pumpkin colour . Too bright for me, plum fits in nicely. Lol

Very subjective depends on your usage to be honest, but I supposed nothing is normal on the battery for all the iPhone 12 lineups, something is just wrong but nobody knows what’s it...hope they fix it on the 13 this year..

I found that battery health drop significantly when charge via wireless, especially apple magnet charger, it generate a lot heat which degrade battery more faster.

my wife's 12 PM haven't touched wireless charger, super under use and under charged unit, as of to date 90%, just reached 1 year sharp.. so I'm not sure how much the wireless charger affects the batr health

by far from what I've seen or heard, my wife's unit is the worst, she practically use it 100% on WhatsApp an hour a day, not even calls made, I think within then 1 year she use it for about 5 mins call and that's it.. didn't use it for any sort of social media, charge once every 5-6 days between 20% and unplug at 95%, no wireless or overnight charge, there she's at 90% after a year, firstly I gave up checking on her batt health, now slowly she gave up too..accepted the fact and faith and move on smile.gif

I just think the 12 series battery might be of poorer quality than the previous ones on the 11 series. I remember my 11 Pro Max still at 98% battery health after 11 months. My current 11 is at 97% after 8 months biggrin.gif

apple probably has at least 2-3 major supplier of battery cells for each phone. and each has their own sources too. I think batch to batch, supplier to supplier there should be tolerances in terms of degradation. Matter of luck. What is more important is that I find my iphone battery life stable, whereas my samsung would drop like a rock after 2 weeks (when i'm finally done installing all the apps I need). Even if the battery chemically degrade, at least the software is not doing weird stuff....except for IOS15.0.1 when i had 100% background app. Even then it was easy to fix (kill waze from background app refresh). With Android you'd be hunting wakelocks with a fine tooth comb, and then after you find the culprit you will break something else when you fix something ...

yeap they definitely have a few suppliers for battery, but for iphone 12's case, i think 3 out of their 4 suppliers carry battery that degrades fast, while another 1/4 carry better quality ones....hearing from so many people not just here, even in other forums plenty of people raise up the same issue on their iphone 12..

remember that IP12 is manufactured in the time of Covid, whereby Lithium supply is kind of in a squeeze.

A lot of energy companies re-gearing towards EV, perhaps macroeconomic effects are in play too.
