I'm moving out from 12pm to smaller iphone. the feel one hand usage is another level for me than maintaining huge battery life.

Tonight on Lazada 5.5 promo, the iPhone 12 128gb is priced at RM3,719. Pretty good deal I think. Currently I'm pondering between getting this or iPhone 11 128gb that's also having price cut of RM2,899 on 5.5.

Does the additional RM800 justify the better screen, 5G and faster processor? hahaha

Ya, I noticed the deal too. Luckily I sold mine off a couple weeks ago at RM3.3k. The price of iPhones (particularly for this 12 series) don’t hold quite as good as before, hahaha...

I’m now using an iPhone 11 which was assigned to me by the company I work for, hence the reason I sold my 12. 5G should not be a consideration at all, some folks argue the Qualcomm modem is better than the Intel one on the 11 but some says no difference so up to you to judge on that. The display of the 12 is better than the 11 and also you’ll get night mode on the ultra wide lens, which isn’t there on the 11. Design wise, it’s up to individual preference but I prefer the boxy design of the 12, which also feels nicer to hold. Although the 11 has a bigger physical battery than the 12, I find them to be about equal based on my personal usage. I don’t play games or use very resource intensive apps, so in that sense the processor on the 11 pretty much matches whatever the one in the 12 can do for me.

You sold off 3.3k is 128gb version? That's quite a good deal for the buyer if you ask me haha. I wonder why the price of iPhone 12 did not hold up well, not sure if I saw this kind of long period discount before with the iPhone lineup.

I agree with what you said. I like the boxy design actually, and would appreciate the lighter weight of iPhone 12. In terms of value, the iPhone 11 seems to be the one to go for. I guess theres still time to decide until midnight tonight hahaha.

Yup, sold my 128GB {Product} Red iPhone for 12 for 3.3k. I think it’s a fair deal for both buyer and seller coz as an avid enthusiast that buys (and sells) phones quite regularly, my base guideline would be a second hand phone should be at least RM400-500 or 30% lower than the lowest online selling price of a new phone, otherwise might as well get a new one. But ya, I agree with you, I’ve not seen such a long and sustained discount for iPhones like we see now for the 12 series before.

Ya, the previous gen iPhone will always be better value for money vs the new ones because it can pretty much match the older ones with lower price, but the 12 is a huge upgrade from the 11 just for the display itself, hence it’s your call if that’s worth the price difference or not for you

Sold my 128GB Blue 12 Mini and got another used 64GB Mint Green Mini at a steal price. Can’t escape the Mini no matter how hard I try lol.

I did consider ip12 mini as well. Screen is fine for me as from 4.7 to 5.4 nothing can complaint... However the battery size is big no for me...
Reason price of I12 not good as old version because it lack of accessories and 5G haven't officially come in yet. Once 5G official, price like hot cake again as this is the 1st batch iphone that has 5G and price will be stable by that time.

Got my ip12 2 days ago. Something doesn't feel right. Ever since I use it, I always feel headache and eye strain.

Currently I'm using cheap clear screen protector. Possible because of that?

I just watched some reviews today on iPhone 12. OLED uses Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). The screen flickers duno how many times per second, not noticable by naked eye but may cause headache. PM me if you want to let go haha

May be you're the unlucky "rare Pokemon" whom are sensitive to PWM (basically the screen flickering at a high rate to control the screen brightness).

Try use it at well lit area and dark area and see if the latter is more severe to you. Most PWM is used when screen is dim and not used when screen at full brightness.

If your eye strain occur even on brightly lit surrounding, then probably some other issue with your unit.
