I have regular iPhone 12 but boy my mistake is I didn’t even try to hold iPhone 12 mini before that. I have considerably big hands but the comfort of holding mini is unmatched.

Still thinking whether it’s worth to trade off battery life for this.

Rhinoshield probably for me - coz got no branding or logo at the back, hehe...

But which is easier to put the phone in and take it out?

I'm taking interest on the iPhone 12 mini recently. How's the battery life for those who using it now? I consider myself a medium user, just whatsapp, reddit, social media and YouTube. I'm looking for something can last me the whole day with 5-6hrs sot. Would that be possible with the 12 mini?

from my exp 12 mini battery life is not that bad.. better than SE 2020, and roughly the same compared to iphone X

1st I think I will purchase Mini as well.. but concern about the battery degradation...end up i go for 12 normal..

Most likely there will be a 13 Mini based on the rumours. It will have a slightly larger battery this year.

It is a good value if you are comfortable in the Apple ecosystem. Still waiting for the 2TB family grade Apple one plan. It is not offered here in Malaysia yet.

is it true that the 12 mini will overheat (to the point u can't use) under bright sun? i read in reddit that some of user got the issue

Since i have education e-mail, so i subscribe Apple Music under student account at RM6.90/month and subscribe iCloud 200GB at RM11.90/month.

And since Apple Music student account has free Apple TV+, so can jimat there too.

Total RM18.00/month.

Since I don't play games, Arcade is okay not to have.

Compare to pay RM19.90/month for individual (50GB iCloud) and RM33.90/month for Family Planning (200GB iCloud shareable).

Perhaps try with Apple standard charger and see if it improves.

What I noticed when using apple devices is that people are much more aware and worried about their battery health. Which seems very weird for me since no one I know even in android phone groups give a rats ass about their battery health.

All my sam phones suffered terrible battery degradation that I had to claim warranty for almost all my sam devices for the battery and screen. Currently my 2nd phone had its battery replaced on its first year , now on its 2nd the battery is terribly worse off than my iphone 12 , and thats with the 30-80 rule.

My advice? Just don't look at the battery health    Apple is already very good  when it comes to battery preservation. The in built software in ios to avoid battery degradation is something no android phone has.

If your battery has degraded drastically then just claim the warranty assuming you still have it. Besides paying for a new battery isn't that expensive anyways , so why the fuss

Was thinking to sell my ipx n use 12mini but then i have an app that i use for my company wfh and it doesnt work on the new phone..need to call my company IT to reset my profile or something which im lazy to do..

N the battery is also another reason that makes me wanna sell..still 100% health but not as what i expected

Hehehe i see…. And yes, super true about the best minimalist and magsafe compatible which has leather on the side is only the original Apple case, hence the reason i bought three of them!

And from my experience only the blue and black patina shine looking good after some months usage…. The saddle brown tend to be dirty hence stopping me from getting the California Poppy yellow & Product RED 😹

Anyone with prior experiences before ? Realistically how many percent should I shave off from the msrp ? is 25-30% enough? Incl free stuff like cases and charger.  Iphones from what I observe devalue differently.
