been using since Xs for eSim, never have issue when Maxis release during 2019 Feb, i directly go switch
so far my 11 pro have three eSim profile, maxis esim + 2 travel esim and one celom physical sim as secondary line

no doubts 120Mhz is a plus and should have move to usb-c, these two seems everyone are hoping to be at least in the 12 lineup

esim doubts...

when you wipe/reset iPhone, it will ask you whether want to remove esim profile
i tried remove esim profile when reset, after that I use back the same qr code is okay, but what I did not test is when changing phone

been using Xs with maxis esim and til 11 pro, Maxis told me cannot reuse when I got my 11 pro at maxis center, so i use the new qr code maxis provided for new 11 pro last year

I do believe qr code can reuse, but i unsure whether is carrier lock it or not
I have few travel esim profile which i attached to my iPhone Xs, when I got my 11 pro, only maxis esim I scan the new one, the other two travel esim profile I use my 11 pro rescan no issue, and can be use oversea last year.

So, esim still have some doubts like, when phone spoilt, send for warranty etc.... how to use it on spare phone, in the case even your spare phone have to support esim
best is local sim card using physical sim... unless you have secondary line, secondary line go for esim

the only telco i know can immediately generate qr code for new/replacement is yoodo perhaps xox can also...
other telco should have follow.... else current covid situation, we dont know any time CMCO... MCO... comes
else it will be troublesome getting a replacement esim qr code when something goes wrong

actually travel sim nowadays a lot go E, the esim package seems reasonable, even for the local country plan, you may look at here to find one if needed https://esimdb.com/
just that some travel esim profile need to pay (like USD2) a fees to get the esim qr code without any plan

ya, can purchase travel esim... usually those esim for traveling just esim profile that you scan qr code, no data plan or anything
you can purchase plan on top of that esim profile for example like few days before going

the cons is, usually travel esim profile dont have number attach, for example, like i travel to China, i want to purchase local sim with number, can make calls as well...
if you are only in need for data, is okay

esim can have few profile, so far I have maxis esim, two travel esim profile and one celcom physical sim in my 11 pro
max how many profile, unsure, and we can have 1 esim and 1 physical sim active at one time (data have to choose which sim to use)

so far i restore and wipe twice already during one year iphone 11 pro usage, once during mco... i still manage to scan using the esim qr code provided last sept from maxis

but since telco said dont wipe... try at our own risk haha

but i am very sure other esim profile can reuse like two of my travel esim profile transfer from Xs

for Thailand last year iPhone 11 series launch on 18 Oct
but Malaysia on 27 Sept

12pro 256GB is RM5399 this year if factor in charger and earbud, the RM200 cheaper vs 11pro RM5599 last year is similar price
for those who needs it, just too bad, with the extra RM200 less, might be using to buy charger and earbud.... for those who dont use it like me, is a little saving for me

something lion city lag behind, been using Maxis esim since Feb 2019 so far bolehland telco without esim difficult to find...
