Hello. I will like opinion from anyone who has experience on this. Will like to get an opinion.

My gum has never been well. I visit the dentist every 6 months to try to get it better but I'm not sure if it's genetic since my grandma and mom has the same issue. The dentist is also trying to clean my teeth as best as he can.

But 2 years ago, my one tooth started to protrude like the picture below.

Back then my dentist said that I can do braces if my gum is better but 3 weeks back, my gum started to swell on that tooth so the dentist suggested to extract it and paste it back between my two teeth (not sure what's the procedure). He thought that it was because of my tooth infecting the gum. But then the next week after that, the other side of my gum is inflamed as well.

So now I'm having second thought about getting my tooth extracted since I think it's not related to the tooth being infected. I hope someone can give me an opinion if I should extract it or just try to have the braces later.

sometimes when a tooth condition is not too good , eg tooth being too shaky / surrounding bone is severely reduced , maybe extraction is better choice
any xray taken for this tooth ?

A few of my problematic teeth (with fillings/ageing fillings) hurts particularly bad when I have a cold, upper and lower jaws. But a day after the cold, my teeth are normal again. What does cold do to affect these unbearable pains?

is rinsing salt water back of my gum after brushing teeth any good/bad? saw tiktok said spit not rinse after brush but how i get all the tooth paste out

also what is the correct way to brush teeth? my dentist told me to focus circular motion between the gap up down including the gum inside outside and top of the teeth. but i have been taught since kid to brush the surface of teeth not really the gap. so which one is correct way you have been taught to brush teeth? i do feel cleaner with what my dentist suggested less thing stuck.

also is yellowish teeth indicate bad teeth? i brush and rinse salt water twice per day yellowish mean what for the health of teeth

spit not rinse is fine , u dont have to get all of it out , this method is to maximize the effect of toothpaste on your teeth
rinsing salt water everyday is not required in my opinion , however if you have discomfort on your gums it might serve as a relief to do salt water gargle

for brushing technique u can of course do the circular motion , or look up modified stillman's technique , the key is not to brush too hard , if you brush too hard u might cause damage to your gums and teeth
flossing is also essential , can be done using traditional floss or water flossing

teeth naturally has a yellow colour due to inner dentin layer , if the yellow stains is on the outside then u might need to get a scaling done smile.gif

Is it bad to get 2D panorama X-Ray? How much radiation does it gives? And is it really necessary for non-orthodontic cases? As individual tooth x-ray shows better clarity of a problem tooth rather than panorama isn't it?

a panaromic xray has lesser dosage in terms of radiation compared to a long flight
it can be useful in wisdom tooth , implant and detection of certain lesions as well

Hello! I have a question.

I noticed that my gum (near the central incisor?) is getting terhakis(?), why is it happening and how to prevent it?

If it requires me to go to dental clinic for treatment(s), what is it and how much is the cost for the treatment? sweat.gif

1. I've had root canal therapy done on my molar tooth in govt clinic recently (first session) and the bright white filling (probably Cavit?) tasted like minty toothpaste for the next 2-3 days. Is this usual?

2. Is brushing once daily sufficient, or is it recommended to brush at least twice daily?

in certain practices they do use GA for multiple wisdom tooth extractions in one go ,
dont think its available for filling scaling root canal smile.gif
some clinics however do provide some sedation for patient who has anxiety issues with dentist
