TMNet is not spying....
LYN forum is so well known...
so is not odd that they know what we're doing here...

LYN is not password protected site, anyone can access this sites.
You can say its monitoring but not spying.

You could also say that its our right to have unmetered, unrestricted 512k/1mb lines that let us do whatever we want. And see what they have done with that. Sooner or later, they'll find a way to kill of VPN. Mark my words, within the next 2-5 years, we'll have another media conference and TM will pull out a chart saying "See? VPN makes up 1% of the users, but it eats up 500% of our bandwidth." Or somesuch. (Figures exaggerated).

Are they screening Low Yat boards? You bet your old lady. But what we don't know yet is whether the Low Yat board is cooperating with them by secretly handing out our IPs.

I'm may be just a lowly moderator on this here board, but from what I can see, I say to you that no moderator here is in any way affiliated with TM. I myself am suffering greatly from the throttle put in place. I truly despise TM for that action alone.

What greatly surprises me is that despite all this monitoring, sites like Jiwang are allowed to flourish. Instead, one little careless post in LYN, and there is instant action taken. Does anyone find that to be rather... unfair?

Whatever they can throttle, it is impossible to throttle HTTP, if they throttle HTTP, then it shoudn't be called broadband anymore. So torrentflux should survive brows.gif . Except, later they go block all the torrentflux website pulak

Before this idea of LYN co-operating with TMNet gets out of hand:

Let me just say that at my level, there is NO known sharing of IPs with any outside parties, let alone TMNet. If any mod is sharing out the IPs of people who post here without approval, he/she would likely be removed from the moderating team (and I would be the first to ask the admins for his or her removal).

And please use some common sense. TMNet would already have logs of the times that you are online and the websites that you visit. Why would they even bother asking us for info that they already have?

We are regular folks just like you, and we use the same DSL connections as well. And we're just as unhappy with Streamyx as you guys are.

They definitely throttle HTTP. On many Streamyx IP ranges it is impossible to get more than 20KB/s from a single HTTP connection.

The HTTP definitely can't trusted to be throttle unless your line have the ability to be throttle, Malaysia still using IPV4... Not much can do unless the availability connections 100% in Malaysia...

TMNET( or any ISp for that matter) always oversells their services. 10GBPS backbones are marketed as 20GBPS and so forth. I'm surprised you guys don't know. So whatever TMNET advertises, take it and divide by 0 10.

I don't think they will block VPN because it will affect the corporate users.

"Every country"? No way. In many countries, there is an open market for data communications, and any companies with the necessary resources can set up their own backbones and international links.

rajulkabir is a spy. Look at his avatar zoo0o0mg happy.gif!! (Just kidding, he's not).

A spy you say? Well I hope the spy report things we already told their customer support many many times. However, doubt that's going to happen hehe.

This thread is some what funny and childish because let's face it, this forum is an open forum. Meaning anyone can come by and view the content.

So.. what's this about spy and stuff? You don't even need an account to view the content biggrin.gif. I say, let them spy. Maybe they can improve their services or any other things they lack off.
