QUOTE(altie @ Aug 23 2007, 02:33 AM) You could also say that its our right to have unmetered, unrestricted 512k/1mb lines that let us do whatever we want. And see what they have done with that. Sooner or later, they'll find a way to kill of VPN. Mark my words, within the next 2-5 years, we'll have another media conference and TM will pull out a chart saying "See? VPN makes up 1% of the users, but it eats up 500% of our bandwidth." Or somesuch. (Figures exaggerated). Whatever they can throttle, it is impossible to throttle HTTP, if they throttle HTTP, then it shoudn't be called broadband anymore. So torrentflux should survive I'm may be just a lowly moderator on this here board, but from what I can see, I say to you that no moderator here is in any way affiliated with TM. I myself am suffering greatly from the throttle put in place. I truly despise TM for that action alone. What greatly surprises me is that despite all this monitoring, sites like Jiwang are allowed to flourish. Instead, one little careless post in LYN, and there is instant action taken. Does anyone find that to be rather... unfair? |
