These are just a few pictures taken at yesterday's legacy event in London. 1st Prize is 4x Force of Will and 2nd is a DCI Sol Ring.
total of 13 players came sporting all sorts of decks. The format is insanely fast and fun and I personally recommend everyone try it out!. Turn 1 play by 43land.dec His opponent's turn 1 play .... OMG ITS THE MIRROR! Board Position after a few turns Yeaps. That's his Graveyard. |

My 4th round opponent playing affinity.
He goes turn 1 Worker I go turn 1 Mytical tutor He goes turn 2 Ravenger attack with worker I go turn 2 I win I'm sorry about the glare but couldn't be helped with my crappy phone camera. Also I was rushing here and there trying to win the tourney. Didn't win. Made top 8 and got some boosters but bah! really wanted the Forces. Top 8 2x 43 land.dec 1x Threshold 1x Goblins 1x Iggy Pop (mine) 1x S1 1x Affinity 1x Dead Guy Ale |

I would at least think of adding 1x Careful Consideration. I play a typical UB Control deck and though I don't have Lens or Relics to acelerate (I run 26 lands) careful consideration is a must .

QUOTE(camlok @ Nov 19 2007, 05:33 PM) Well, most of those that plays the consideration do not play the chronicler. The deck is too tight to include both of them, without compromising other aspect of the deck like creature control, mass removal, permission and kill card. Fair enough. I only run 2x Careful Consideration because Aeon is in my opinion a subpar card in a control deck. Yes you get to draw and that's nice. Yes he is a huge creature (Usually 7/7 or 8/8) but the fact is, when I want to find that all important early Damnation, Careful Consideration is the card I want to see. Also its saved me so many times its not funny anymore . IE: Turn 6, I've got 5 lands down and I've missed my sixth land drop. I'm facing lethal on board, and have 1x Terror in hand. So I tap out for Careful Consideration, Find the Damnation and the land I need and Terror the creature before dmg is on. Wrath the board next turn with counter mana up. |

I agree with Camlok. UB + R for Detrivore in the mirror is evil.
Which version of the deck are you playing with Camlok? Some builds have taken out reactive cards like Rune Snag in favor of a more Proactive approach with Shadowmage Infiltrators (Finkel's). I still run the old skool. My meta is very aggro so I usually pack 4x Rune Snag (must use with caution vs GU Control Aggro) 3x Remove Soul, 1x Pact of Negation. (can't afford cryptic commands sadly) This post has been edited by lepakboy: Nov 20 2007, 11:00 PM |

Damnation in the UK will always stay about 7-8 GBP (RM49 - 56)
Firstly its only printed in Planar Chaos and secondly it will be a must have for the extended season 2008 - next rotation. Also it seems that Wizards didnt' (F - up ) the numbers of Damnations . During the last MPR, ppl in the UK got like 20 FOIL WOG even when they only played 10 tournaments ..sigh ... now their dirt cheap. Somebody picked up 4x on UK Ebay for a low sum of 13 GBP (RM91) ... |

Its one of the top Tier decks and its certainly good. Pro ?Good vs creature based decks which rum rampant now.My question is .. shud i build it ?. Izzit any good ? and lastly, whats are the pros and cons of the deck ? Thanks guys Bad? Suffers a little to Control but then again if you play the cards just right you can still beat them. Heavily dependent on sideboard. |

Does anybody know what Legacy decks the M'sia contingent took to Worlds 2007? Personally quite disappointed at the coverage. More shocked at the fact that 2x 2-land Belcher managed to take 2x Japanese players to top8. A deck every Threshold deck can deal with ... Anyway I Digress.

QUOTE(FCUK89 @ Dec 9 2007, 12:36 AM) There's this deck which runs on 5 colors one, but no one played it I think, cause no one would want to risk that chance... Lol sounds fun but from the looks of the field which many ppl say was filled with Stax. Doubtful It works without any mana producing lands, and it has only 4 lands... Found it in Craig Jones' blog...found it to be quite interesting, but not sure whether it's workable.. They all play 4x Ghostly Prison anyway. Added on December 9, 2007, 1:16 am QUOTE(magic2k @ Dec 9 2007, 12:14 AM) imo, belcher didn't do that well. one was 2-1-2 and the the guy had enough points to draw himself into t8 and the other went 3-2. both of which is fair considering the large field of players. Ah no wonder . Its true. Belcher is a fun deck and fast but its hardly a stable choice as its too easily disrupted. Hopefully they do post it up.hopefully wizards will be nice enough to post legacy decklists later. i'd like to see what the pros came up with for legacy. QUOTE(XenoFr3ak @ Dec 9 2007, 04:42 AM) Dragonstorm decks are stupidly good. The results are proof of this. Only 6 people in the entire tournament were playing this and 2x got into the Top 8... I'm still lost for words.Anyway Makeshift isn't a bad deck and infact still has a good chance vs Dragonstorm. You can always board in discard in forms of stupor etc and you have venser to bounce their Spinerock Knell so you still can beat them. The new dragonstorm isn't as stable as the last one so sideboard well enough you'll beat it. |

QUOTE(evofantasy @ Dec 10 2007, 11:08 AM) Yes maindeck needles in UB Teachings is ABSOLUTELY VITAL! Treetop Village will murder you. UB teachings isn't dead but it isn't as powerful as the other decks in the format. Take for example Mogg War Marshall. This is the card I hate to face when I'm playing teachings because it hits you for 2 and if you kill one your still getting hit. This isn't Ravnica anymore where people just play a few key creatures (Scab Clan Mauler) and ride them to victory. |

QUOTE(Playbook @ Dec 19 2007, 06:53 PM) Hari, you don't need to slow down during Extended season, I have 4-8 of most of the Extended cards (all fetchlands, meddling mages, jittes, eternal, exalted, isamaru, kataki, etc), we can make decks together. I can basically make Extended Dredge, Ideal, Zoo, Chase Rare Control, Counterbalance Control - should be able to have surpluses of the cards so we can make up the decks together - anyway, I may end up playing one archetype, so you can play another archetype if you want. Everyone in UK is getting ready for extended season and all I can say from their testing, Flow Rock, Noob Stax, Countertop Goyf are all tier one because of bloody Geddok Teeg. |

Turn 1 Isamaru Turn 2 Boros Swiftblade , Swing with Isamary Turn 3 Swing Boros Swiftblade and Isamaru cast 2x Geas' Might for the win (In an ideal world that happens a lot) |
