actually i see a lot of malay compare to before ( i think la ) . well my 1st tourney was apocalypse prerelease at sunway piramid.  then i went to all the prereleases up until darksteel. after darksteel suddenly busy with life cause of marriage work and all.  but if go tourney usually will see same faces one. 
the craziest thing i hv done with magic is driving all the way to ipoh with my friend in a kancil just to enter a tourney there. i didnt even do any good. ( ingat boleh tapau la org ipoh - sekali kene tapau balik ahahahhahaahaha )

Not sure if I would make the trip down to KL or not. Most probably will not be able to attend GP Bangkok. Travelling to and back from KL cost my RM100 per round trip...... is it worth it??

eh u guys sure about the air asia ticket price?  cause i check the price it gave me 500++ for 2 pax return flight some more.  hmmm........
ok just out of curiosity if i were to go mad and want to acquire a play set of ALL painlands no matter the edition.  how big is the hole gonna be in my pocket?  + BOP playset as well.

the base is 1600 but my first few tournaments (the small one) i did really badly losing my points quite a lot (as their ratings are lower than me lol)...
from above 1600 it keep dropping due to bad decks...
so now i'm only entering tournaments after i got confidence in my deck (except FNM to test them out)...

I heard somewhere, that with the commencement of Lorwyn, there are no more 3-set expansions per year.

This is now replaced with two 2-set expansions per year (which means 4 sets per year).

Is this true? And how does this affect Standard?

As it stands, Standard is Core Set plus last 2 expansions (e.g. Xth + Lorwyn + Time Spiral), so it's usually about 1-2 years back.

If it remains the same policy, does this mean Standard will now effectively change every single year?

Has anyone tried Winston Draft yet? I am looking for someone to casually do a Winston Draft with me on Friday night. PM me if you are interested.

Here are the rules...

1. Each player supplies 45 cards worth of sealed product (either three booster packs or a tournament pack minus the lands).
2. Shuffle all 90 cards together in one big deck without looking at them.
3. Choose someone to draft first, then put the top three cards from the deck face down next to it as three new small piles of one card each.
4. The first player looks at the first small pile. He may choose to draft that pile or not.
5. If he drafts it, he replaces that pile with a new face-down card from the deck.
6. If he doesn't draft it, he puts it back, adds a new card from the deck face down, and moves on to the next pile.
7. He looks at that pile and decides to draft it or not, replacing it with a new card if he drafts it, adding a new card to it and moving on if he doesn't.
8. If he doesn't want to draft the third pile, he adds a card to it, then drafts a random card from the top of the deck.
9. Continue until all 90 cards have been drafted. Construct 40-card decks and play.

Prefer trade.

well stuffy doll aint the only win condition for the deck...
it packs quite a number of burn and most answers to doll aint instant speed (except krosan grip and disenchant)...
