I have encounter this problem almost whole week le. 1st, i go to BIOS setting there put CPU Multiplier = 10x , Cpu frequency = 300. After that, i saved to CMOS and reboot, after that , got a message tell me to use another pofile to continue log on to windows. But when i set Multiplier = 11X , Cpu frequency = 228 = 2508GHz it will run , can log on to windows with no problem. Why ?? Anyone can help me ?? u didn't even mention your computer spec how to help?
besides 11x228 is not the same as 10x300
dont expect any processor can run 3ghz so easily

hmmm...i think first u have to pay attention to ur psu..icute is not a gud psu for OC, u should change to better one if u plan to OC ur proc
try increase to 2.9Ghz and see how..

My problem is --> I set it to total of 3.0Ghz(300x10) cpu speed, but after continue to boot, the cpuz just show me a total of 2.0Ghz of cpu speed only. i think somehow ur bios didnt save ur setting if like tat..double check it..
if the psu explode nvm...afraid it take all ur hardware together only..then tat time u mayb need more $$$ to replace all ur new hardware

TS, i suggest you read and do some research before you even start to OC. You don't even have the slightest idea about overclocking. Don't expect people to spoon feed you. I am guessing that you just bump the frequency without touching any other settings. If that fail, you should start increasing the vcore, step by step. Still cannot, then bring the HT down to 4X...so on and so forth. As for the PSU If you still wanna OC....Change the PSU.

Not every AMD processor can do 3ghz easily. I think that's your problem.

Second soulfly's opinion. That is your problem. If you are using Windsor processor, it is hard for you to get 3GHz. Unless got one special case in LYN AMD Windsor 3800 F2 go 3GHz -pWs-This post has been edited by -pWs-: Aug 24 2007, 05:26 PM

Is this your first attempt in OC? there's whole lot of story behind OC bro.. not just upping your CPU FREQ and thats all...
