What job is not ordinary and paid high? Depends on the individual lah, only the minority can outperform becoming the outliner, 90% are average , no matter what courses they studied
All the jobs are the same, university served the purpose to grow graduates to work for the society

There are. Paid highly easy job money.

Anyway, you are true paper qualification is a means to prepare many to join workforce at average pay.

But in government their pay scale progress is slow. At age of 30 around 8.5-9k only. Only when they jump to private there is a huge huge jump

The options for graduates from local private and some public universities are limited - Singapore recognises only UKM and UM, and only since 2007. Twinning degrees eg as offered by IMU are not recognised.

This seems a sneaky way to get local Malaysians to study in SG and get stuck serving there if you ask me.

Actually not really - it's not like they are opening spaces for Malaysians to study medicine in Singapore.

Really? Actually anecdotally I have lets see 3 schoolmates who studied medicine there and serving there. I believe they took the Asean scholarship route and on scholarship for A levels.

Ah, those are a different kettle of fish - Singapore loves talent - esp. those on ASEAN scholarships. But, the vast majority of applicants for medicine are locals. There's less than ½ a dozen places allotted for Malaysians wishing to pursue medicine at NUS per cohort of 300. That's how competitive it is.

Yeah but transition not as easy as you think unless it's related like electronics to software.

Also demand in engineering field change roughly every 5 to 10 years.

Civil -> Electronics -> Chemical -> Software(?) -> ?

Lack of doctor job mostly due to abundance of medical degree but not to the extend of engineering degree.

Also the demand is always there whether people like it or not.

It's not that we have enough. It is because the govt don't have the money to employ them..
