ever since I can remember, mentally I was instilled by my dad through words and actions that to be a real man aka grown up, calm the fuck down and never ever let yourself be influenced by others, even by him. always take a step back, listen, and evaluate. so at least when shit hits the fan you cannot blame others and can (proudly-ish) blame yourself.
