No, I was much later in 2021. If you search earlier posts, you will get the autoactivation thingy.

Either the officer said wrong or you heard wrong. AF is waived for 3 years.

Affin follows statement cycle, so you can spend tomorrow. Don't need to follow calendar month.

Got annual fee. I don't know how it works though - whether you get charged straight after auto-activation or 1 year later if you don't meet the minimum 12 swipes for waiver.

Requested cancellation. Going to need up to 15 business days. That's beyond shocking (briefly searched earlier posts but didn't notice that long).

GST due next statement cycle (30 calendar days from now) where the Rewards Mastercard will be automagically activated resulting in double GST.

Wait until final month should be fine. The later you activate, the later you pay GST.

Check back your statement which month was your Visa billed GST. Activate 1-2 months before that and swipe 12 times.

15 days, not cancelled. Before today, they won't do anything but make me wait. Today only expedite and have to wait another 3 days.

GST coming next week. They assure me blocked already won't kena.

Based on your tips, i told them next statement, which is about 1 week from now, will be billed GST. MORE WORK to reverse it later. Midnite check, cards disappeared.

I have a better way. Since mine is pledged FD, i'll try withdraw at the branch. Apparently they need to unlock the pledge.
