QUOTE(tiramisu83 @ Dec 13 2022, 05:35 PM) i also faced similar issue. Due date on 5 Nov. Payment/Transaction date on 5-Nov, posting date 7-Nov, and kena charged finance charges as they looking at posting date. I called and told the CS, i have already made payment on 5-Nov (from another bank using duitnow), and why the posting date is 7-Nov? That's the system issue, or whatever delay between bank to bank, if really wanna change, should charge the bank i transferred the money, not me. I am still waiting for the finance charge reversal in my coming statement. I pay on due date never kena charge. Received automagic SMS say payment received. Paid over duitnow also. Edit : My posting date == date i paid. Afterall, Duitnow transfer is Instant Transfer. If your posting date is late, maybe sangkut at your source bank, that's why Affin got it late. Check your SMS if you received any. This post has been edited by beLIEve: Dec 13 2022, 07:07 PM

QUOTE(tiramisu83 @ Dec 14 2022, 11:37 AM) i didnt receive any sms from Affin in Nov payment, I only received from my source bank sms and email. And on the source bank email, it stated: "the following transfer is pending". All the while is "We have received your request to make the following transfer" But anyway, the transaction is showing 5-Nov on Affin statement, by right they received my payment on 5-Nov, somehow they just posted on 7-Nov. I assume there's some transaction date captured by Affin, hence Nov 5. Actual money came in later on Nov 7 when people are back at work and realized something broke. It's a very valid argument with Affin. I think they will give an exception. This post has been edited by beLIEve: Dec 14 2022, 02:40 PM

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Dec 27 2022, 12:29 AM) for those who kena fraud, do you pay for the fraud transaction first? i was advised to ignore the transaction and any late payment due to this but it's very annoying. IF small amount then Pay First Refund Later to avoid complications. If big amount, worth the complications.

QUOTE(rae0724 @ Feb 6 2023, 02:44 AM) Hi I am interested to apply the DUO card , but I got few questions 1. If my auto bill (rm500) run first before my top up to wallet (rm1667), cashback will still same rm50 + rm15 right? 2. "Cash back is capped at up to RM80 per month with following Previous Balance in AFFIN DUO Visa Cash Back credit card statement: - Up to RM80 for card account with previous balance of RM3,000 and above - Up to RM50 for card account with previous balance of below RM3,000 " The previous balance is like total up from previous months (not limited to 1 month?)? I am a bit confused here 1.0 $50, unless your previous month's statement is $3000 then $65 2.0 Limited to previous 1 month, i.e your statement balance. Month = singular, months = plural.

QUOTE(MGM @ Feb 8 2023, 01:55 PM) I got these duo cards by pledging 5k in CASA with very little interest. If only can get rm30 cb it is no longer viable. Will cancel the cards b4 rm25 sst charged. Can pledge using FD. I did that. But most likely you have to cancel and reapply unless their system so advance that it can release your CASA and lock your FD.

My next statement is 14Feb, sst will probably be charged on 12Feb n rm80 will be credited on 14Feb. Wonder can cancel the duo cards without paying d sst. Welcome. Minimum 5k lah. They tried lower for me but system reject.

QUOTE(Haloperidol @ Feb 9 2023, 07:24 PM) I just wonder they say start from 13 March , i wonder how they calculate it my statement is also 14 monthly , so if lets say i spend 3080 at 14 feb to 12 march, not sure i'm eligible or not Because most people have their statement on 14th.

QUOTE(MGM @ Feb 13 2023, 06:46 PM) With the new t&c I think it is also not viable with rm5k pledged FD. What's more viable than 3% a month? Unless you have a very profitable business than earns significantly higher than what FD is paying?

QUOTE(MGM @ Feb 13 2023, 07:47 PM) Say i can get 2% extra out of the 5k fd somewhere else of 100/yr. So rm30x12=360, sstx2=50. Basical my benefits/yr is only 360-50-100=210 with a spending of 12k, effective 1.75%. Better for me to pledge fd to get PIB VisaPlat. Thanks. Good breakdown. I will reconsider mine when my GST comes. I applied a year later than most of you guys. I started skipping those 1.x% when I am out of sources to spend. Yes, you should go for PB Islamic and other cards with higher % cashback.

Entering wrong OTP for 3 times will result in card being blocked. Subsequent OTP page will ask you to call Support to unblock.
I dont see the point doing this, because overseas gateway dont need OTP to fraud

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Feb 18 2023, 11:23 AM) sorry my fellow seniors, kinda late to this wagon, but please do enlighten me, I just made a balance transfer, so my current balance after 1st month payment stands RM6.4k, and my statement balance is 14th, so I just need to spend RM1,666.67 to get RM50 right? Before April statement, it always is spend $1666.67 on designated categories to get $50, regardless of your balance transfer. Balance Transfer only comes into play if you want to earn $80 before the April statement.

I only need $2667 qualified spending before the March statement to earn $80 cashback IF I plan to earn $30 cashback (with qualified spending) in the April statement, correct?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 9 2023, 09:48 AM) you cant have both, i reconfirmed this with Affin staff if you're existing Duo, you must cancel Duo and apply Duo-i (for those who prefer islamic card) perhaps you can try apply, see can get it approved? Aiyah. I was just chatting with the new Affin contact I got from my home branch's ex-personnel before reading this. Looks like you already double confirmed.

QUOTE(jwgs0010 @ Mar 18 2023, 10:50 AM) Update: pledged 5k, still rejected with same reason branch said will help appeal another agent that helped me said: its usually more difficult for private sector non bumi that have no existing record with them...not being racist, but really? some more with pledged fd wondering if still worth the hassle Ummmmm then i'm not sure. I forget to mention I went through another path, i.e. through their big boss But it was just a mere Q&A about whether pledging FD will definitely allow the application through. You know, people tend to behave differently when big bosses are involved. I'm more than impressed that their big boss reply email late at nite, past 11pm.
