waste of time - might as well teach grass to fruit.
same thing happened to me and worse:
1. cards sent to SS2 instead of SS15 branch which is just next to my home - "dunno why" was the response as to the logic of sending the cards to SS2 vs SS15
2. same thing - no advise as to Internet banking thus had to go back to branch
3. Activation of card - SURPRISE!! U MUST use the registered phone number to activate the card using their IVR & this was NOT STATED in the instructions/letter. Frustrating when i found out after calling CS. Come on - mobile phone, office phone, home phone - heck, i've 2 mobile numbers in my phone for connectivity purposes.
4a. went back to SS15 branch - online says 9:15am, still closed by 9:30am. Called CS - CS said 9:30am should be opened but long story short - then said oh that SS15, MCO area 10am open. Oh - there was an A4 with small print stating so as well - alo, so many A4 papers stuck onto the glass door, at least use RED FONTS or BIGGER FONTS la.
4b. 10:05am went back to SS15 branch - sign still says closed. miffed, i just knocked on the glass door to get the attention of the security guard. he opened & was surprised or something when i asked whether they are open or not. Said yes open BUT sign says closed. wow.. psych-ing out customers? good job
4c. Registered and went back to test. Huh? Failed!
Called branch - person that picked up either just awoke or on happy dust, i had to keep repeating why i called until it registered. Then she said she'll check and call back. Kudos - she did and i was informed "oh tadi banyak orang thus your account not activated yet. Baru activated". er.. that was like a total of 4 people, i was the 3rd from 10:05am till 10:30am OR she was talking about HQ? dunno, dont care, couldnt be bothered
Fun.. at least Affin's CS was more responsive than that other self-declared GloCal bank which never picks up even after 2hrs+ calls & even to LOST CARDs XD - that is entirely at a different level la. Affin's not that GloCal, thank gawd.
Haha, this makes good reading! After all the hassle, now you can enjoy using Affin cards
