People here know more than branch staff it seems. Went to apply online banking yesterday, seems like staff not familiar with card design and didn't know card number is behind. Also didn't know that card binding to online account takes effect next day.

Good thing is not busy like more popular banks, so there are 2 staffs helping me make calls, check and raise ticket to ensure the binding happens. Also gave me branch number and HQ line to call back next week in case my cards still don't appear in online banking

I applied mine at branch more than 2 weeks ago. No news yet🤣🤷‍♂️

I see, oh well I hope my area branch has similar service. That would be the best situation for me then, instead of going to the bank uhh... the queue nowadays is crazy.

Asking for those approved for Affin CC. Is it a new norm now for Affin (or any other bank) that they no longer sending sms/calling/email or whatever channel they can reach out their customer to inform the successful of card application/for card collection ah? 🤷‍♂️

Both amounts (Late Charge and Retail Interest) were reversed on 26 and 27 April. Very fast. Just only saw when I login to check other things.

Of course CS said this is good will and one time only, so I better not forget again =) will be much more expensive next time as now have taken cash-on-call from them as well.

for those who never activated rewards card before, i recommend not to. as you will be charged non-waivable SST from 2nd year onwards.

Didn't see this publicized anywhere. Good promo (12 month 0% EPP) available from 1st Jan to 31st Dec 2022 on spend of RM2k or more. Can be helpful to maintain that 3000 total spend.

Edit: Quick maths - for Affin Duo holders, the excess amount required per statement is (3080-2666.67) or RM413.33. If EPP 12 months, this can be achieved with an amount of RM4959.96 (round up to 5k easier). So either swipe 5k one shot or 2x2.5k (not sure if can have multiple EPP running at a time).

Oops. I messed up, so hope this can be a story that help others.

My Affin Duo have a really tiny credit limit (RM4000). I hand itchy go fill in EIP plan page for fun, I thought they would at least call me for confirmation or something. Nope, it just went through automatically and silently, and not even a single SMS or anything, just appeared on my statement suddenly when my latest statement is ready.

Now I have a RM3100 EIP plan that locked 3100 out of my 4000 CL, I cannot maintain a statement balance of RM3080 for the next 8 months or so, stuck with RM50 rebate and a EIP plan that I don't even need 😂
