QUOTE(lowpro @ Sep 8 2021, 12:12 AM) Yeah, that's why the GSXS750 is sold out in many places. New stock only arriving at month end (told by eang chun). No joke. 40k is a bargain for a new bike with that spec. (In Malaysia)I want In-line 4 bike. And cb650r was on my top list. Since kawa basically dead now. Now gsx s750 show up. |

Kawa has a power gap in the middle range roadbike series, and it's always that twin 650cc engine since long time ago.
MT07 is the new benchmark, then a powerful triple MT09 or Triumph. Honda seeing success with 650cc 4 cylinder and selling like hot cakes. Triple engines also have good success. Suzuki SV and the 750 is very overlapping to compete with all these, so is a smart move for Kawa Malaysia to revive Suzuki brand in Malaysia. QUOTE(gataddhin @ Sep 20 2021, 12:10 PM) How much did the shop charge you for these links? Were you given a choice of link lengths? The shop I went to did mention this option, but I had no idea how much ground clearance I would be sacrificing. I was thinking to take it to a seat shop to have it modified and reshaped into a lower seat instead - cheaper than the Suzuki item & tailored for the shape of my arse with full customization options. |

I was thinking to take it to a seat shop to have it modified and reshaped into a lower seat instead - cheaper than the Suzuki item & tailored for the shape of my arse with full customization options. The shop charged me RM200 for the lowering links. I did not ask about sizes. I told the shop that I must tip toe or else I would not buy. So far, I am happy with it. My bike's ground clearance now is 150mm. (Stock 170mm). Later I may remove the 4 pcs of rubber seat cushions under the seat and replaced with thin rubber strips to get it even lower. |
