QUOTE(giant_18 @ Sep 21 2007, 01:37 PM) erm.. currently im using acer 4720. i'm using the usb floppy to foramt the windows.. but it says th file txtsetup.oem could not be found.. wat should i do?? It means the driver files you copied into your diskette lacks a file which the setup needs called "txtsetup.oem". It should come with the driver. Maybe you want to redownload the driver and recopy into your A:?

Some SATA devices are not supported on the actual XP setup disc because that CD is kinda outdated. This guide is just to add in more recent drivers so it would detect all the latest SATA/RAID devices during install.

QUOTE(giant_18 @ Sep 23 2007, 09:48 PM) You mean you downloaded the drivers a lot of times? Can you make sure for me you're using GM965 chipset on your laptop? Or at least tell me your specs, like CPU, RAM, Graphic at least... QUOTE(icebloodboy @ Sep 23 2007, 10:41 PM) then can u clarify "not supported">? means cannot start the installation win xp? Not supported here means you will get "Hard Disk not found!" error because there is no proper drivers for the setup to detect the new SATA hard drive system.

I am worried that you might have a Aspire 4720 that might be different from some other people here. So can you like tell me what CPU and graphics that you are using on your laptop? As for the link i posted there, i did even tried it myself using a floppy and it does contains txtsetup.oem file for the XP Setup. So in your case the missing txtsetup.oem is almost impossible unless there is something wrong with your floppy drive. Please check again.

QUOTE(giant_18 @ Sep 28 2007, 10:03 PM) is this the only contain file? Figures....no!! You put that on your desktop, put in the diskette, then run that file... It should copy the needed files into your diskette. Then you proceed with the setup. This post has been edited by SubKi||er: Sep 28 2007, 11:47 PM

QUOTE(tfk82 @ Sep 29 2007, 05:12 AM) me also got the same prob As in you extract the file in the zip into the diskette? As i said, unzip the file to desktop, run the file and it should create the diskette with the appropriate files for you to detect the drive when you run setup.

SubKi||er, nLite integrated with DriverPack should be no problem right?
my case was F6 process is done with all the needed file copied from the floppy, then error came out with "cannot find file" even the floppy is still inserted when windows started to copy the file from the cd.

My version of integration was done using RyanVM integrator which doesn't mess with this tutorial. nLite do things a little different from this....
