I'll try my best to explain. Basically I got no motivation in getting better at drawing even though I really want to reach the point where I can draw something without hitting a brick wall every 10 min. I want to better myself but doing it alone makes the whole process of learning boring. I'm drawing digitally. This is my first time posting in this forum. This is like those study groups we usually do before major exams.

If you want to see my drawings (some drawings that are not posted on deviantart is on my insta)
my deviantart : https://www.deviantart.com/lilkags/gallery

TL;DR
need study buddies for digital art.

Your deviant page is a good start as a beginner biggrin.gif and art work is good for the effort. Thought I don't know what is your extend at getting better at drawing means to me, so you have to explain what your goal is at becoming a better artist.

Like for me my goal for getting better at art is to be able to draw and color character illustrations efficiently and with no loss in quality.

I am not too fond of being a motivational speaker but my advice is don't be afraid of criticism or be angered by other person comments. Just be happy and have fun creating what you are proud of. Although you should try to be mature about taking criticism/feedback since this is how you can improve your skill and understand how others see your artwork. No matter where you turn to, there is always criticism lurking in the shadows. Last but most important, try everything and never stop learning because the biggest motivation in life is being able to create something what others have not. icon_rolleyes.gif

"be able to draw and color character illustrations efficiently and with no loss in quality" yeah my goal is similar like yours. To be able to draw any pose that I want without making it look weird is one of my goal as well. I have joined a few art tutorial youtubers discord server to ask for feedback but yeah I'm afraid so I am going to practice a lot on the basic first.

Cool, its good you are proactively seeking help or advice from other artists. I did the same before and one of the best advice I got from a pro concept artist is to study and practice drawing human anatomy in various poses based off of reference pictures. Instead of using actual photo references, he recommend using posemaniacs because they use a standard 3D model as the subject so this makes your drawing consistent between different poses.

Its normal for everyone to be afraid at first since we see ourselves in the works we create, or in other words, we get paranoid about showing our lack of skill/knowledge to others. hmm.gif So don't let that get to you and have fun when it comes to doing what you like.

let me tell you a brutal truth
sometimes the journey will be lonely
if you can't go thru this phase
it will be harder for you in the future

even when you went into industry u will realise that everyone's still doing their own thing
except when it's a project and there's money involved, everyone will come together again
but there's exception la

if you noticed, best artists out there are usually lone wolf
they are in their own head and game

anyway good luck in finding the study buddy
i never had that but it makes me stronger and more self-disciplined in creating more and more amazing works! if you feel that you're hitting bricks, rest and recharge, then push again!
