Your deviant page is a good start as a beginner and art work is good for the effort. Thought I don't know what is your extend at getting better at drawing means to me, so you have to explain what your goal is at becoming a better artist.

Like for me my goal for getting better at art is to be able to draw and color character illustrations efficiently and with no loss in quality.

I am not too fond of being a motivational speaker but my advice is don't be afraid of criticism or be angered by other person comments. Just be happy and have fun creating what you are proud of. Although you should try to be mature about taking criticism/feedback since this is how you can improve your skill and understand how others see your artwork. No matter where you turn to, there is always criticism lurking in the shadows. Last but most important, try everything and never stop learning because the biggest motivation in life is being able to create something what others have not.
