yes im running out of patience... getting more and more inclined to just get the latest 1.5G vios and so be it

the City V spec is too kosong for me and RS is taking too long, and trying so hard to launch and give news only after SST exemption is ended
*
its okay to get vios but get this
despite having all sort of safety feature, this car not going to save u if u get into serious accident
on a relatively easy test Asean NCAP testing , Vios A pillar bend, this is not happening even on A myvi ....
but Vios bend and get a very low ish marks 5 star rating

on the other hand
vios do not have a place to rest your left leg unlike other car
your leg simply have to live near to the break paddle and left and right leg will meeet each other very often doh.gif doh.gif
i only found out these sort of issue when driving for long hours, a simple test drive wont reveal this sort of issue
close to non existence space for your phone , the center arm rest is unusable
the screen is low res and washout colour sweat.gif
next is the shiny reflective Meter cluster , it just keep on reflect whatever u passing by, its a huge no no brows.gif

vios is very good on paper, packing all sort of safety item but many is half baked
the BSM and RCTA is a joke... it delay in respond only make u ranting.gif ranting.gif ranting.gif
instead of reporting live, the bsm always delay informing and blink like crazy rolleyes.gif

How is the Honda City cabin noise level (nvh) compared to new vios? Last time I test drove the new vios found it is relatively quite. I sat in my friend's previous gen City found it not as comfy and quiet as I thought.

Any improvement on this new city?
*
vios is still nvh king for B segment sedan
even killing the corolla in these aspect , so No
city cant match vios in NVH but vios cannot match city in many other aspect also

Different ppl different priorities... Some ppl dun care about design and go all in with safety and features...

To me Vios seems underpowered, but I have to admit it's much more feature-loaded than City...

I'd wish the City has BSM and RCTA... the rest of Honda Sensing and Toyota Safety Sense is useless to my driving style though... sweat.gif

But to me City definitely wins on interior...
*
for BSM and RCTA , u have to owned 1 and i believe you wont want them anymore brows.gif brows.gif

if you observe on the road, those car with BSM , the owner didnt even care the BSM blinking like crazy and still go on to cut lane rclxm9.gif

Anyone knows if it's possible to turn on fan without triggering AC on...? It's been a habit of mine to turn on fan without AC every morning cold start...
I'll be interested to know if can retrofit ambient light above the cup holders area...

My old Jazz is lighted by default. Can't believe Honda missed out such details on the new City...

Indeed. So sad the cabin if the vios is cramped. Eyeing the used xv50 camry but worrying its cost of ownership. The comfort and quietness inside the car are main priority for me maybe bcoz I'm 40's.
*
used xv50 is actually not bad la
but need to get the 2nd facelift 2.0 with the 6 speed auto one
the older one with 4 speed is abit lacking in power and very dim headlamp

cost of ownership surely is higher than city as any part replacement is abit more
but what u get is a even larger space and better nvh overall

Guys, sincerely need your advise.
I am looking for a car to get my parents as their current car (Persona, 1.6 Auto) is pretty old and its wearing out.

Was keen in getting them a Honda City 1.5S. Now I am aware that the booth space in the Persona is much bigger though the interior of the city fits 4 adults appropriately.

Now, I have owned other car brands and have never had a Honda before.

Mind sharing / enlightening me of any issues with the new City ? How reliable is the car plus any common issues ? Moreover, within the same price range, do you recommend us to go for the city or look for other car's model.
Spoke to an SA but obviously the SA is inclined to give out good reviews of the car.

I owned a VW before and the DSG was a night mare!
Thanks in advance
*
not sure where u get the impression Persona have a larger boot when persona is quote to have 510 and city S have 519 shakehead.gif shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

within the price range city offer the bigger space
fuel economy is good, highway can get 18km/l +
