If your parents don't use internet why do you need a landline? Get a mobile phone for them and use prepaid SIM, only RM30 a month.
This is good idea, TS. You can also video call with your parents.TM asking to convert to wireless phone

I don't need a landline even though I have one from Unifi. They already have mobile phones with prepaid SIMs, only RM28/month. |

Installer just give modem and connect to ancient fixed line phone............ Idk about you, but the ancient fix line phone is more reliable. The cheap cordless phone after a while kaput already. If you want cordless better invest in a good one, just buy and plug in.This post has been edited by YoungMan: Jul 21 2022, 09:39 AM |

too many thieves nowadays. copper phone line got stolen.
one month still havent settled, TM doesnt seem to be interested to fix it. they recommend to change to wireless to clean up this mess. if we are forced to change due to depreciated technology, i can still understand. but to be forced to change due to too many thieves is real sad case. QUOTE(mini orchard @ Aug 13 2020, 09:47 AM) Mine is 89rm pm with free phone. No call no charge. Many months '0' billing. Connect to home alarm system too. Wait.... when it was copper only line last time, just a home telephone line is RM3x per month. Change lifestyle with change of tech. How come your "Mobile" home phone cost RM89? This cost more than you buy the cheapest mobile package and use a SIM card home phone!!! WTF???? |

The prob with their wireless phone is they can get faulty easily, or battery cannot charge after sometime usage.
I still prefer the old line phone |
