Tested the method again this morning at 3 different petrol stations back-to-back. All refunded amount become transferable

Shell - using PIN. Refund only comes in 5 mins after finish transaction. 2nd try it doesn't allow even at other pumps
Caltex - using PayWave. Refund is IMMEDIATE after each transaction. Able to transact 5 times then at the 6th tries it doesn't allow
Petronas - Tried PayWave it doesn't work, giving me error that I'd exceeded Amt Limit although I have a lot of fund in TnG

RM200 deducted and refunded almost instantly .....

all NON-transferable ....

anyway in all seriousness, i think this is quite a sneaky move by tng without any notifications. if i didn't see here, i also wun know already change t&c.

Main reason that I register ewallet is for reload tng nfc card for toll usuages.
After that apply tng visa card for spending after perform reload from reload pin.
Next move is terminate tng visa card since tng pin permently discountinue in estore and delete tng apps if all highway implement visa/master card for paying toll.

why not use tng visa to pay toll (OPS) and parking too?

"ewallet" is the nature of the merchant business, in this case, TNG eWallet (business) is generally known as "ewallet" aka MCC 6540: POI (Point of Interaction) Funding

"online" is the txn authorization/charging method.
there will be minor distinction between "online" and "recurring/autodebit".

online is where initial txn authorization initiated from cardholder in online domain, validated, authorized, and charged to the card account.

subsequently, an authorized txn, may be tokenized for for digital payment (googlepay/applepay/huaweipay/samsungpay/etc) or used for recurring charging; whereby it has ALREADY pre-authorized (with your consent, of course) to continue charging at the backend automatically without cardholder presence.

Imagine, when suspicious activity was detected. They didn’t force the account logout automatically to protect people treasury or using whatever Scan Face/OTP/Security Questions for verification.

Instead, TnG ask you to manual reload for 1% administrative fee🤣 and my payment is make to the well know e-commerce platform. I don’t think it can be classified as suspicions activity to reject the payment. My device never change for a year, network is my home wifi. Even location (GPS enabled) is also my frequent visits location.

In short, i am using Credit Card as quick payment and my account was exceeded the first 1k credit card spending. Hahaha

my nearby bhp also fail to redeem bhp voucher

their app has this big yellow M logo. can scan barcode/qrcode of the voucher. when initiating redemption, it took long time to validate. then throw error.

tried 3 times, all same failure to validate.. gotta find other stations to try.

if this is a concern in the future, better disable it. better let it fail txn in tng ewallet rather than auto-reload as it creates more confusion to the user (senior or IT/app illiterate) when trying to tally tng balance vs card balance.

Just found out can convert NT to T in faster way, before wave the TnG Visa card on petrol terminal, key in amount 1st. The amount minus the petrol pumped will convert to T, instead of RM 200 minus the amount pump.

I think their system not programmed to deduct until negative balance. Once you have sufficient positive balance, it should deduct.
