Last time I go Nusajaya (the part near Legoland) when Forest City was still launching and it felt like a ghost town.

its not meant for you anyway. well, at least initially. when it first started selling, it was obvious the developers were not marketing forest city to malaysians. it was intended for singaporeans, mainland chinese and foreign investors only. i went there and although the show office is farking amazing, absolutely none of the sales people knew how to speak english or malay. all from mainland china and only spoke mandarin.

their main selling point was the proximity to singapore and how they have made agreements with both malaysian and singaporean governments to have a special Customs and Immigration checkpoint for forest city residents so that it was easy for residents to move to and from Singapore. they never once mentioned JB or KL or Malaysia. the marketing material wording was all XX km from Singapore.

after a few months only they started employing locals as sales people.

I recall mahathir say the house price is suitable for foreigner and not Malaysians.
