for me i will increase the lightning brightness abit so that at least can see a bit the chop out word than one black line there...

So how is your 'struggle' coming?
Trial and error is always a good way to learn but you must always ask yourself "What do I want? What kinda image am I trying to create and how I wanna achieve it?" If you take away everything, a camera is nothing but a stupid box, sensitive to light and always waiting for your instruction. Seems to me that HUMANS are the one becoming a stupid box, always asking questions and awaiting to be spoonfed, haha! Do experiment with various functions of your camera and see the results, starting with Aperture Priority, play with various shutter speed and see what it does to your images and so forth. Dun jump into conclusions so early and so easily ... getting to know your camera is only like a baby starting to learn how to chew, not even crawl, walk and run! Professionalism is not how many cameras you have, how many lenses you own, how many events and girls you shoot ... it's how you capture the moment in each and every place you been to, how much you're willing to scarifice to GET that image that makes you stand out among the crowd.

If u love taking portraits and play "bokeh" alot then the 50mm lens is a must have.

bokeh is the effect of blurring the background... you see their series.. most of them the background are blur.....
grasser is people who join the shoot but not shooting the model... maybe walking around or shoot the making..

my kitlens actually are from 350D.. i brought it 2nd hand one....

ya.. that one i agree.. nikon and canon kitlens.. nikon one are better..

my exam i can say.. i will see the lecturer next semester.. the problem is the exam only have 1% from textbook while the other 99% can be anywhere.....

The third image with the 50mm lens could be a little sharper? Maybe bump up the aperture to above 2 and increase the ISO to compensate for faster shutter speed?

Mind share the whole studio set ups ?
I mean those lighting and thingy. *noobie here

for me the ka pow shot should put the guy in red fully on the frame and not cut his head off...
well he have a long hair.. at least we can see the effect of he get ka pow by another guy...
