Our story began with a dream that Takuya Okada, our founder, had while travelling to the United States.

Seeking inspiration for his mid-sized retail business in Japan, he was amazed by the large-scale retail chains dominating the USA.

He returned home with newfound enthusiasm and shared his dream with Kazuchi Futagi and Jiro Inoue, owners of their own mid-sized retail business.

Together, they formed the


Japan United Stores Company (JUSCO)



in 1969, with a mission to provide Japanese customers with the best value, products, and services.

Their manifesto included a philosophy that read, “From this day forward, all members who join us will be welcomed equally.” With this clear mission from the heart, success came quickly, and JUSCO grew into a nationwide chain by partnering with businesses all over Japan.

It expanded to real estate development, services, and financial industries, and in 1989, the company was renamed AEON Co., Ltd.

In 1984, AEON set its sights on Malaysia and accepted the government’s invitation to help modernise the country’s retail industry. JAYA JUSCO STORES SDN. BHD was established, and after years of becoming one with the Malaysian population’s shopping experience, the company officially changed its name to AEON CO. (M) BHD. in September 2004.

Due to online business la. People go mall just to jalan2 bring kids to roaming here and there. Some go there to feel the aircond. Some go there to review the things that they are going to buy online because cheaper.

So less sale for tenant. Tenant complaint Sale can not cover rental. Aeon force to bring down the rental. Then end result less profit for Aeon la.

build too much mall with big space, so not profitable for rent

but mid valley pavillion sunway pyramid one utama all naik rental kan?

this place is more to lifestyle or stylo people , go there to window shopping , dating or movie, while aeon more to family oriented. when mco people have learn to go to kedai runcit or agrobazaar to buy groceries that is cheaper or expensive by 20sen or 50sen.

Only in the supermarkets, the mall side is empty. True for all aeon malls.

Most of the buildings are old and dated.
When you step into aeon maluri its really a different feeling

AEON clothing need to compete with online buying......AEON grocery need to compete Tesco, Giant, Village Grocer, KK, 99 speedmart and online ......

AEON grocery price difference from outside like 99 is huge.
Can be in a range of RM1 to RM5 for single item, not few cents ya.
I only shop at AEON coz I got its shopping voucher.

This price comparison thing is bullshit.

There are things in aeon/village/Jaya that are slightly more expensive than 99/nsk.
And there are things in 99 nsk that are slightly more expensive than aeon village jaya.

Most of the times cheap things like Vege, meat, etc is useless. Used to buy Vege from these so call cheaper retailers .... Almost 50% of the Vege I will throw. Don't even talk about buying meat.

For fresh produce I will buy from aeon village Jaya only. Just slightly expensive but I'm buying fresher and quality stuff.

What are the things that are rm5 more expensive?

Retailer in malaysia should change their mindset n improve their online shopping experience

I bought electrical items at AEON worth thousands . Yet when it comes to complains -----I had to run 3 times to get different answers ----1 manager says YEs ---the other one says NO .

After 3 times bringing the items back ----I just GAVE UP ---registered a complaint and CUT membership card !

The compliant did not even manage to get a reply from AEON !

1 is manager Aeon . Another seesm like manager product . last one is manager customer service

A stand fan I bought on day 1 ----after installl --------- decided to WILT !

I asked Manager whether can change ------Manager said Yes

So I brought it back to change -----Manager 1 not in -----Manager 2 says cannot

So everytime I went -----it was a different manager ------between all the Yes and No

I just gave up !

Other small electrical items I bought there ------- I asked if i take home to fit and if not useful can bring back to cahnge or not ? The person in charge there at Aeon ( Bangla work long time ) will tell you ----No cannot change !

You could try NSK Grocer for fresh produce, more variety and fresh. Been buying vegetables and fruits at their opened not long ago, rivercity.

Recently i went to AEON Maluri... walao, changed so much, the entrance from train station to AEON macam CCP train station. Inside the mall full with peoples and a lot eatery.

Happy to say I visited top 5 Aeon mall.

Aeon Rawang oso lately very full during weekends. Like every Cina bukit around these parts come and congregate over there. Parking oso always full.

Last time when newly opened very the ghost mall.

And outlets in Aeon Rawang oso seems to have a high turnover.


These are the 2 Aeon malls that I relatively frequently visit, since I stay in both areas. Donno about the others.

Aeon maluri got japanese employees. Lunch time can see them eat together. Senior citizens also like to hang out there for whole day like senior daycare centre.
