Yo guys, I just got my x50 flagship on Christmas Eve. Went up to penang for the new year week. Filled up full tank at Georgetown and after 5 days of city drive, tank was blinking. Is this normal? At about 20l/100km, it’s a lil bit too high no? I’m getting 250km max on a full tank of city drive (on eco mode) ????!!
Anybody else experiencing this? It’s crazy high yo.. I think can challenge F1 FC at this rate zzz

Question, between the range topping X50 and the range topping City RS Hybrid, what decisions made you to own the X50?

I am in the same dilemma as well. Looking for a new car maybe half a year from now
*
Have you test drive both car? City engine is underpower. Once you've driven X50 you'll know which car to get for sure. Unless FC is a concern, else X50 beats City inside out.

I'm have limited knowledge on this, but as far I understand the new technic for CN and RU already has been simplified.
Somehow they found the hash key and scripts to install apk sideway.
All the user need is extract the needed files, older and scripts to usb drive. Just by insert the USB drive to usb port will complete the installation and reboot the HU for you.
Geely 🇵🇭 group are charging around 3k-5k pesos for the services and can be done via online transfer with instructions.

The one from FB, is charging rm350 now for those in K!L area. I think they won't do it online as they scare to leak it.
*
Apparently there's someone else doing it in Penang for RM200.

You got the contact details?
*
PM-ed. Earlier Penang x50 community organise a small gathering and get they guy to install for us all at once.
Felt this guy is better compared to the KL one. Without us asking about the warranty concerns, he told us if worry then use uninstall everything before service. Then can go find him to reinstall back everything for FOC.

Did anyone actually managed to receive the OTA update for the HU map? I think there has been 2 OTA updates since the car launched but I never even receive once.

Did anyone noticed using the Waze/Google Maps directly from HU (after installing it into the HU), the GPS is abit lag compared when using it via Android Auto.

Lag as in my actual position is like 2-3 second ahead of the map position. Using the original Here maps and Waze/Google Maps via Android Auto doesn't have such issue.

Android Auto = Processing power + GPS using your phone.
Install to HU = processing power + GPU using your HU's.

Seems that maybe the GPS on the HU is a bit wonky
*
But using the original HU's Here maps doesn't have such issue also.
Perhaps it's software optimization problem?

Anyway, I just want to know if anyone else having the same issue. Maybe it's the Google Maps and Waze version I use is not the most suited one.

It’s not about the size bro, but you will feel need to squeeze the side of the seat before getting down from the car

Hi, can i ask those who bought flagship did you end up tinting your sunroof? And how much did it cost? Still undecided if want to tint the sunroof or not...
*
I tinted it with 98% IRR and it makes a lot of different.

There's no way the HU will auto update regardless what version you're on. It'll be very dangerous if the update happens when you're driving. Any update will require user's consent to ensure the car will not be used while it's updating.

Just a heads up to everyone on GKUI. ACO Tech are planning to phase out GKUI by the end of march 2023. It will no longer receive any update or support and will force everyone to update to atlas.
*
How exactly are they gonna force everyone to atlas?lol

Whistling noise can be solved, go to your SC and complain and they will be likely to put some dampener/sponge/insulator in tweeter. This is what they do for quite some time ago, not sure whether is there any new approach or not.

But there's another wind noise, sort of wind flapping noise which is caused by side mirror design. This can be reduced (if you are early batch) by changing to new batch side mirror. I'm still in the process of changing, hopefully will get positive results
*
How are you changing the side mirror? Claim from proton or buy from them?

Hey guys, I just dropped / lost my X50 remote key in the park. I think some one must have picked it up because I ran the entire footpath and can’t find it. Fortunately, I got my folks to drive over to hand me the spare remote key.

How fast and how much is it to get a replacement remote key from Proton? Would it be the same day? Also, would they reconfigure the car remote / alarm signal? Is it a long and complicated process?

I’m feeling annoyed with myself I wasn’t more careful. Would appreciate any reassuring advice, thanks!

If not mistaken it's around RM1k..

Any idea what is the latest HUR version that can work? I'm still using GKUI.
Dare not update to the new Atlas coz worry everything will be gone.
