Test drive Proton X50 yesterday.

Proton SA says if I order Flagship or the second highest tier, PLUS with a RM3k++ package, I will be prioritised. Can get car in 3 months. If I get standard or third highest spec, PLUS RM3k++ package, can get car in 5 to 6 months. He not happy I looking at the lower spec versions. He says standard spec so far their outlet just got one order fulfilled.

But he says if I DO NOT take package, will take 6 to 8 months for higher two specs, and more than 8 months for lower two package.

What nonsense is it? I ask if he holding the order. He say he don't do that but when car comes will give to others. He says many from September 2020 still not fulfilled.

Just think about the deadline 30/6/21. Will be tough enough for Proton to fulfill the bookings until end of Oct 20.

Nov need to be lucky, Dec probably can give up already.

Booked on Sept16 for white flagship model. Until now not yet receive my car and SA can't give me a date.

My dealer says they have cleared September 2020 backlog. Now fulfilling Oct 2020 orders. I ordered on 1st March 2021, she said by June should be okay to get my car.

When you did your booking? I made my booking last month with this dealer as well just got my loan approved last week and due to relationship with the SA he said will have a “special arrangement” for me. Not sure i can trust his words but just asking how long you waited for yours?

I also encounter another problem, sometimes my car cannot unlock or lock by touching the door knob/handle.

not 100% correct esp unlock portion

To Unlock - put ur hand onto the handle as if you want to open the door and it'll unlock once it detects skin. no need to touch the door lines, once unlock u can see your side mirrors start to unfold, then pull to open door, make sure key is in the area of front door. if key is rear door outside sometimes it will not unlock because its too far away

To Lock - make sure your hand is NOT inside the handle and just touch the 2 lines.
