Paid booking fee before Christmas last year and was offered other colours before CNY holiday.
Decided to wait for Jet Grey and got it last week. Less than 2 months waiting time for me and could be earlier if I opted for diff colours.

That was fast, back orders all cleared, or mostly has cancelled?

I assume that the back orders were cleared and their assembly ramped up after the 1st year.
This is quite normal to have the capacity increased after certain period of time.

Good news. Few of my friends wanna cancel the order due to late delivery hence potential miss out the sst. 2nd options is corrolla cross, but the cvt, plastic dashboard and price make them think twice.

I'm wondering why Proton use 5L of EO only but Geely Coolray in Philippines using 5.6L. Yet Proton's SC not using standard quality of EO. Some use 0w-20 and some use 5w-30.

Maintenance comparison Proton and Geely Coolray

Hi bros/sis, are all the proton service centre charges based on the maintenance cost as mentioned above? Meaning the first service free parts and services?

Appreciated if other owners can share their experiences

Thank you

the waiting time is not that long anymore looking at the ready stock availability of some SA postings in FB groups. I guessed these are coming from those who cancelled and opted for corolla cross or HRV

It its normal, because you 'started' engine where you need inside cabin to do that.

*additional
If you remote start i think it wont start meter cluster so it wont show seatbelt warning (if i recall correctly)

but in another way, it TECHNICALLY always on.
because a car need a driver inside to work. so until you seatbelt it, it wont go away.

I always pressed P on the gear knob when parking

I always reverse park into my house, When auto hold is on and you want to reverse park of course your foot is always on the brake
Once my car is in position, i will press brake a bit harder to stop the car and auto hold will auto engage in this situation
Thats when it happened.

Fyi also, i wasn't complaining. I merely pointing out this fact so others are aware. So let's be civil here and avoid name calling

I notice the auto hold doesn't hold on my car when the slope gradient is very low, that's where I stopped using Auto Hold worried I hit on other cars, plus I still have a MT car at home don't want to get relied on full auto function too much which might cause some bad habit for me while driving the MT.

Sometimes I switch to N and Pull Handbrake manually because its easier to engage to D without pressing the rear of the lever, If engage in P need to press the back of the level to be able to engage to D.. just some user habit thing.

can describe situation?
i think you brake not enough so it yet activate auto hold and you release the brake and gear in D continue moving forward.

I used a few times then that particular time I come to a traffic stop with very low slope gradient slowly pulling my car backwards and the Auto Hold not lit in the meter. That time I switched gear to N

X50 have two.
1. Hill Hold Control

The hill hold control (HHC) function allows the system to maintain the previous brake pressure (up to about 2 seconds) after the driver releases the service brake pedal when the vehicle starts on a slope, preventing the vehicle from sliding down.

2. Auto hold

Similar to HHC but can use anytime (slope or non slope). No time limit but if stop too long will activate EPB. To deactivate press accelerator.

I notice to activate auto hold have to press brake deeper. If just press lightly it wont activate. Not sure switching to N will deactivate auto hold. Hmm gonna try later.
