How to install Android Auto? (Legally if possible)

Tested 3 pendrive still same , after plug In USB the HU go restart and no APK installed .
Which step I am missing?

Any idea to make the app installed on HU able to read USB/Otg?
Because, music player i install only can see the 32gb build in storage not the USB. I suspect permission issue.

I bought this one. Wired. The box firmware can update so considered original? Because imitation can't upgrade. Will brick the device.
You can opt for the wireless one. But I feel wired is better and cheaper.

1. You still need to plug in to charge unless using wireless charger.
2. Wired more stable connection?

Anyone know where to download older versions of AutoKit apk?

I downloaded the latest one from the Carlinkit URL (version 2022 I think) and the X50 infotainment display gets stuck and not responsive, then AutoKit crashes after 1min. From the FB thread, someone said they were using AutoKit_2019.09.28.1931.apk and it works well. Where do I download this?

For EQ flat, you could also try goto settings, under sound and audio to disable the Loudness option. I saw by default it is keep on.
Didn't try, as I'm lazy to tune the sound now.

muncheno i didnt test that 'loudness'

but that lossless toggle i tested to turn on.
disconnect and reconenect bluetooth. the volume on my phone reset-ed/on default mean it connect to 'new' bluetooth device never connect before
but the audio i don think any different from previous ( i yet toggle back and forward to compare )
maybe my hearing not sensitive enough to differentiate it

Anyone managed to run carplay using the the dongle? I bought one from shopee, tried to run it and it freeze/crash all the time, on both wired and wireless. Anyone manage to run it properly?

Hi guys, I have never experienced a proper built in Android Auto system before so I'm not sure what is the norm and this is my first experience.

Currently, to use AA, I connect my phone using data transfer cable to the USB jack in my car. Once connected, my phone shows "Android Auto is running" and HUR auto launch in my headunit, showing Waze.

1) Audio quality seems not crispy (waze directions), kinda like radio with bad reception. Current settings is that audio transferred to my HU instead of BT connection. Should I change to BT?

2) HUR keep showing the popup notification at the top screen of my HU when navigating, constantly updating distance to next turn/junction. Very annoying, how to disable this?

3) How do I use AA wirelessly? Sometimes prefer to not connect my phone via USB cable. Saw people mentioning Autokit or something, do I need to buy that to use AA wirelessly? What about Wifi Launcher? (Currently using Android phone)

Now I can see more and more X50s on the road..Guess the new car stock issue is resolved...hoping that they can resolve the spare part issue soon too

You just install yourself? only install dsp is it enough?

Hope this help and again fine tune according to your own preference and remember to use custom EQ as flat.

Remember also to start will frequency filtering for the low and high.
If you notice it carefully, I set front (29Hz to 22KHz), rear speakers (25Hz to 20KHz) and subwoofer from 20Hz to 20KHz.
I chosen these frequency due typical range claimed by manufacturer for their speakers, you may want to use your own range if you know your speaker spec.

Stock speakers, only added DSP and subwoofer.

you have no subwoofer right?

i suggest you set 50~70hz with -6db filter on highpass
50hz -6db will be agak 30hz+- at the minimum point.
because that speaker wont produce that low frequency, and only able to handle certain range at once.

or you can try run the speaker front mid to high, rear only low to mid. see it suit you or not.

Mine same with 2nd image. >40km/h will have whistling sound...
