Please be careful to new buyers. If you are forced to buy the utility package, make sure they will install it when the car arrives. Luckily I found out the outlet didn't install for previous buyers, so I negotiated for my case. Really had to bargain and argue. For now I get a promise they'll install for me when the car is here. Fingers crossed. But damn ... Money hungry, sendiri first businesses really not worth to support. This is the last time I'm getting my car from them.

QUOTE(adriankan @ Mar 23 2021, 11:36 AM) such a shame. they have a winning product but yet they shoot themselves in the foot like this. they had the potential to actually blaze ahead of all the competition, local and no local alike. had potential to dominate the entire market in the 80k-110k category and become the de facto option for the masses, but they still pull stunts to make consumer have "but" in their minds. proton will forever be proton This is NOT enforced by proton, but by the outlet which I am buying my car from is forcing their customers to buy. I actually booked with another outlet at the same time, but they did not force me to buy the utility package. so this is an optional upgrade by proton, but this rogue outlet forced all their customers to buy it.

QUOTE(Kappest @ Mar 26 2021, 10:11 AM) Sorry to differ, the SA dont force you to buy because in principle it is OPTIONAL, but when the car come, with the colour of your choice. Your SA will ask you "Your Red X50 available, but prebuilt with the optional kit, you want onot?, or else have to wait which i donno when." Yes, my feedback from SA is now the X50 come with the kit prebuilt. How I know it is true, I ask them can I move the smarttag emitter to the side. They say cannot, it comes with the car now. All of them, at least for flagship. The SA is pretty helpless in most thing in this X50 supply fiasco. They have no control of the variant/color/kit they receive. Do I wanna fault Proton, a bit at least. But reality is too much demand at a time where parts is coming slow and less for assembly. But should we be pissed for forcing the kit to us, YES! Even for me who plan to get it. I think the msg is self explanatory... like I said, this is not by Proton but individual outlets, so expect each outlet to give different scenarios

QUOTE(Kappest @ Mar 26 2021, 03:44 PM) I dont think you get my point. The dealers cannot tell the public Proton fixed all the X0 with the kit. Because Proton public policy is OPTIONAL kit. But in reality, is it really optional? NO. It's not dealer's level of decision making anymore, if all the car comes in with the kit. My car and those owner before me, comes without.

That's what I have been saying. Proton provides the platform, the products, the service, it is up to each outlet's owner, manager, to handle and manage their customer's purchase and request. So whether you: - get your car early or late - need to buy utility package or not - even insurance also (some force some don't) Everything else is up to individual outlet and how you negotiate with them... so there is no one answer for all questions, unless it is a blanket question such as SST.

QUOTE(Kadajxii @ Apr 5 2021, 09:43 PM) Hello read someone posted only think of flagship or executive.. so wanna hear ur advise on below my requirement. which variant to go, if 10k is worth. I have test drive flagship. not sure if tgdi makes any diff.. I m leaning towards premium because of the interior. sunroof = unnecessary for me acc icc = hope to have when jam auto parking = unnecessary for me keep lane warning = very annoying aeb = good to have Blindspot = unnecessary for me intelligent headlamp = unnecessary for me duo tone exterior design = hope to have I gave this a lot of thinking, and in the end, my conclusion was, all the features in flagship was nice to have, but slow to react. This made me think of older smart phones like HTC. Was cool and good to have, but the whole tech not at a comfortable to use state yet. So I abandon flagship and went premium. So far, so cool... test driving and owning one is totally different.

QUOTE(jaychew90 @ Apr 8 2021, 11:38 PM) I booked from dealer A 17th sept till now haven't reach my turn. Last month booked from dealer B, 3 days ago got car already. Hunt for dealer with short queue. Ask them to show you the queue list of possible. Exactly what I did. Do visit more branches. As I explained to many, these are individual outlet sales, not Proton HQ and so there is no monitoring of any sort. Go deal with the individual branch and see which outlet can give you the best service. Interested buyers no need come ask here what is the queue like. Must ask the branch and get a firm answer. My personal experience : waited long like everyone... then one morning at 8:30am I cancel my booking, before lunch SA called... "hahaha, what do you know, we have a car for you". But I asked him go fly kite. I already sign seal the deal with other outlet. After few more days, car arrived. Don't let SA/branch play you, thinking it is Proton HQ who is delaying your order. It is the branch themselves.

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Apr 23 2021, 09:46 AM) mind to share, ade greater benefit for sound? or just minor improvement. foresee if add this want to retain all stock speaker In my personal opinion: - X50 stock/ori speaker : slight improvement, but noticeable, and feels great - if change to better speakers, should have very good improvement Cos technically, more channels to adjust will surely give better/improvement to sound quality.. so currently have many models of DSP.. some old some new, different price points with different levels of adjustments available... so tgk apa budget

Actually my x50 have no wind noise no matter what speed. But due to tinting, they take out and put back the panels and now I have the same wind noise like others. The shop don't know how to solve this after trying for 4 times.
