Welcome to join the x50 family.
Me too, from 2019 or 2020-ish HRV hybird/RS, XV GT/Forester Eyesight, X50/X70...
Lucky i didnt get HRV.
Subaru XV spec not meet my requirement, forester just too over budget.
So only left proton.

And sorry toyota fans, altis cross yet exist on 2020
Ativa not in list actually due to i aimed x50 before it and ativa officially release in malaysia.
*
If you're taking the cross, better get the V variant.

Btw, the seats are very hard. The cross.

did u guys use fuel 97 for ur X50? some friend of mine said pump 97 once a while can clean up ur fuel tank and have better performance..
performance wise i believe it is better, but how bout mileage? the same litre of fuel, 97 can fo further?
*
With my driving style, made no to little difference. Maybe placebo.

Maybe if you have big budget, you can try long distance driving comparing both fuels.

Maybe Ron 97 would give more mileage for long distance.

However, since they are blardy expensive now, I don't think the extra mileage justifies the cost of getting premium fuel.

Forgot to share with you guys, a month ago I went to service my car at COSE, tried claiming the side mirrors.

Guess what, it was approved immediately. Luckily they were in stock, so they just did the replacement during the service.

was it any better?

Yes. Now I can adjust the viewing angle further than before. So, now can have a wider view which is a very important safety requirement for me.

I never noticed the wind noise before & after change, coz I have door visors installed, so noise will always be there when I drive at higher speeds.

got job no or something for us to refer back our SC.?
because got such thing we can push them: 'see, got people changed the sidemirror'
*
During the service, I didn't direct claim for replacement side mirrors at first.

I complained to the Service Advisor about the original side mirror cannot be adjusted further to have a wider view. Then I asked if Proton have came up with the solution as it has been almost 2 years already.

The SA just ask me, if I'm willing to leave my car for the day as they have a solution for the problem.

I said yes. Why I know the sidemirrors were new replacement instead of some retrofit?

My original sidemirrors were ridden with paint removed scratches.

When I got back the car, they were gone & looked new. & of course the angle adjustment has improved.

Hey Guys,
I now stuck in dilemma due the my car have weird metal rattle noise from the front of car. Which I think either from wheel area or maybe flywheel.
And yes I already complain and send to my usual sc for car check/diagnose.
After SC checked it, they think likely is flywheel but they not very confirm and then ask me send it to cose.  sweat.gif
But after calling cose SC (phone number I found online), they say they do not provide repair and ask me call the HQ hotline shocking.gif
I tried to called HQ hotline but it always busy  doh.gif

Anyone can tell me which SC with better experience on repair X50 that I can send it in to?
*
Should be COSE. Why not try sending it for service there & indicate the issue?

the things is last regular maintenance is last Sept. (Just usual oil change etc).
So I call up to COSE for sending in for a proper checking la.
Now both sc are taichi here and there. aiks...
*
Because the car not yet send, they can taichi here & there.

Why don't you try to send service for 2nd time (it could be a bit wasteful, but since your regular maintenance was just regular oil change)

If the car already received at service bay, they have no choice but to check it.

If I were you, I will stop sending the X50 to the usual place for servicing.

Just send to COSE next time. They usually have the first know how & also all the updated info compared to other service centres.

I'm facing similar issue of the metal rattling noise, but it is with a 6 year old Persona.

My X50 executive is doing fine so far. Just changed to 2nd battery, 2 months back.

Will the SC fix the side mirror angle if we complain?
*
Depend on SC & luck.

I managed to get my side mirrors replaced when I serviced my car at COSE. Fortunately for me, the new side mirrors were in stock.

Had to leave my car for the whole day for that replacement.

Has the X50 service schedule been updated? I see a mandatory RM2 charged for windshield cleaner? Or am I referring to a more premium service schedule? Does anyone have an original service schedule?
*
I recently realised this too, during recent service.

But I just said that I don't want that, & asked SA to remove from the list of services.

Either this or Hankook VP4 if have available size.

Worst case scenario if no stock, Toyo CR1 SUV.

My car is used as retirement folks car. So driving style is quite laid back

Hankook Ventus Prime 4
https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Hankook/Ventus-Prime-4.htm

Or this rare Falken Azenis Fk510
https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Falken/Azenis-FK510.htm

Else if wanna spend more, no doubt for Michelin PS4, nowadays cheaper by a lot. Never experience with PS5 yet cz too expansive, waiting their price to cool down
*
Now Falken FK510 has been superceeded by FK520L.

Based on user review, Continental UC7 wet performance is better than Hankook Ventus Prime 3 & Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3

Based on user review, is this local YouTubers? If yes, I cant digest it much cz Continental Malaysia love sponsoring tyre to them. Long time ago, they said Continental UC6 was good, great on wet etc but own usage, plus plenty more on FB Owner sharing, the UC6 just cant get grip on wet, not confident on wet grip. The pro is only the quietness for this UC6.

That include the Continental MC6, owner review said wet just horror, easy to botak (depends on user)
*
Nope. Not youtubers. User's review where the person have used the 3 set of tires on the same car (Hankook VP3, Hankook S1E3 & Conti UC7).

What I commented earlier was on the grip & handling on wet roads

UC6 might be a letdown, this was redeemed with the UC7.

It was a similar situation with Hankook Ventus Prime 3, where its successor, the Ventus Prime 4 was a significant improvement.

Basically what I'm trying to convey is to have an open mind & not restrict oneself to brands.

However, I'm not absolved in this as I too still have skepticism with chinese brand tires.
