QUOTE(bsc1280 @ Jul 15 2020, 08:36 AM)
Thanks guys
Yes I will be flying in and out almost every weekend
My thoughts were:
1. Area should be expat friendly
2. Closer to city centre where there  are eateries , entertainment options , Tution Centre’s for my wife and kids who will be living there full time
3. IB Schools ( Cempaka damansara heights , Fairview etc.) budget around 50k-60k a month
4. If I chose an area closer to airport, we will be limited to that area and not the real action in the city centre

Btw I have a family friend living in adamansaea heights abd have visited KL 3-4 times in past few years

Am I thinking it all wrong ? Is there an area which meets the above criteria and also more accessible from airport ( I would be taking grab mostly I think )

Thanks !

I can recommend you Tropicana Metropark Subang Jaya, Paisley ( Latest launching) but only ready and VP by Q1 2021.

1) located at heart of Subang Jaya, most importantly is just 5 MIN walking distance to (GEM International School) and is ready 1 year ago.

https://metropark.gems.edu.my/enrollment/fees/

2) entertainment and eateries are just 10 min drive to Empire subang or Sunway pyramid.

3) Freehold development and is a township with pet friendly park around the surroundings.

4) subang jaya to KLIA airport mostly take about 45min journey.

5) I'm a owner and if u wish to know more , I can share u more about the service residence and my sales advisor too, as well as share referral fees with you

Do checkout their masterplan as below,

https://www.tropicanametropark.com.my/#masterplan

Basically for your budget, u can go for 3 bedrooms , 1500sf , at about Rm1 mil to rm1.5 mil depends on balcony and floor unit ..with panoramic design layout or normal layout !

One of my colleague recommended bukit sri persekutuan

Please give your opinion on the location, quality and in general.

you might consider Bukit Jalil, OUG area. Waltz Residence is a new completed freehold project starting from RM1.3M for 1691 sqft.

2km to pavillion bukit jalil and in the heart of klang valley, easily accessible via Keses highway.

you might consider this too.

Can consider Wangsa 9, Infiniti 3 or Seri Riana which fit into your budget and not far from Fairview. It is also close to Sri Rampai LRT (walking distance) and KLCC is just 10 minutes away. In the neighbour hood it is near to Wangsa Walk and all amenities are nearby and if you are looking for Chinese food Stapak is just a short drive away. This is not exactly the typical expat area and you do get a local feel and the expenses is lower then Mont Kiara.

Sure I will check that out
It’s just that rude would prefer an expat oriented area if we can afford
Any comments on Bukit Sri Persektuan?
Thanks

Depend on what you are after; the yield is not very attractive as an investment and the place look aged. It is a posh and quiet enclave if you have the money to splash by all means. I would recommend Cyberjaya King Henry 8 college and depending on the age of your child this may fit into your budget. Compare to Fairview, King Henry 8 is a quite few cut above and is in a different league. KLCC is 30 minutes drive away and KLIA is even nearer; something to consider if you are coming down every weekend. You can save two hours travelling time to and fro KLIA out of the 48 hours you spend with your family and time is money. There are plenty of garden and park and you can have a very nice family life style there. For RM 2m plus you can have a nice guarded Double Story Semi D (4600 sft) in Beethoven (walking distance to King Henry 8), Sejati or Setia Eco Glade. There is quite a number of expat stay around in the area so you should feel at home. Malaysia's largest mall IOI is just a 15 minutes drive away.

hmm... although not a rich person my own..
but if i have your budget.. i would really consider Petaling Jaya. if you plan to have a house, it means you are planning to be here for long, and are you planning to have your kids looking for job and apply as PR here in future? Those are something you need to think about..

Basically I think you should reduce your scope first. I can see you can have 3 choice :
1. KL - The only place i think worth considering is Mont Kiara. Mont Kiara suitable for expat. but maybe more for guilo, you as a chinese, I dont see a problem living in else where, of course unless you want your kid to have more westerner friends then yeah. If you live in damansara heights, it would be better if you have your own security guard in the house, because there's no gated and guarded in most of the street and i think it also over your budget
2. PJ - For me, i think it's better for home stay in all aspect, especially you are a chinese. eateries, shopping mall everything.
3. Close to KLIA like suggestion above. Close to airport but I bet your wife will be bored to death there,

For me, living here in capital city, usually it can categorize into 2 group, whether you are a PJ ppl or KL ppl. If you are used to living in PJ, you can forget about KL city center, you probably will only go there once a year. PJ have everything you need. So, you dont really need to live near to KL city.

Also, perhaps you should really take a look at the place yourself .. seeing it yourself is more important .. i think you can short list these and perhaps get some agent to bring you there in a week time .

Mont Kiara
Desa Parkcity
TTDI
Bandar Utama
Mutiara Damansara
Tropicana
Ara Damansara
