hmm... although not a rich person my own..
but if i have your budget.. i would really consider Petaling Jaya. if you plan to have a house, it means you are planning to be here for long, and are you planning to have your kids looking for job and apply as PR here in future? Those are something you need to think about..

Basically I think you should reduce your scope first. I can see you can have 3 choice :
1. KL - The only place i think worth considering is Mont Kiara. Mont Kiara suitable for expat. but maybe more for guilo, you as a chinese, I dont see a problem living in else where, of course unless you want your kid to have more westerner friends then yeah. If you live in damansara heights, it would be better if you have your own security guard in the house, because there's no gated and guarded in most of the street and i think it also over your budget
2. PJ - For me, i think it's better for home stay in all aspect, especially you are a chinese. eateries, shopping mall everything.
3. Close to KLIA like suggestion above. Close to airport but I bet your wife will be bored to death there,

For me, living here in capital city, usually it can categorize into 2 group, whether you are a PJ ppl or KL ppl. If you are used to living in PJ, you can forget about KL city center, you probably will only go there once a year. PJ have everything you need. So, you dont really need to live near to KL city.

Also, perhaps you should really take a look at the place yourself .. seeing it yourself is more important .. i think you can short list these and perhaps get some agent to bring you there in a week time .
