Yeah, I have made many "upgrades" like that before ended up not knowing for sure whether it was worth it or not. Nowadays I try to do one thing at a time so at least I can tell whether there is a difference.
Yup. Don't change for the sake of changing. Change because you know it will make a difference.
Ok will do. If I want to ride I'll pm you. But I'll go for simple and safe ride for the next few months. Wouldn't want to get injured before my mount kk climb.
Same. I am recovering from my tennis elbow and other injuries. If I ride, it’ll be slow ride. Don’t wanna push myself but not like I am an advance rider or anything.
Haven't attempt the gap jumps yet. Takut pokai and left alone in the jungle to rot.

Gap jumps? no thanks. I will leave these for the youngsters.
Just do the normal jumps and drops is good enough. Few months ago I crashed hard in Dinding until i crashed down the ravine (Fakawi trail). Took 2 weeks rest to recover. Luckily i was wearing protective gears. just that i crashed and landed hard on my left shoulder. Didn't break though.
That's why for the next few months, i will just do normal XC. I am climbing Mount KK early next year. Wouldn't want to get injured. you watch Steve Yap channel. Last week he crashed hard after failing to clear a gap. OUCH!!!!!
@10:30
and Van Gal Yuka crashed hard yesterday. Injured, Broke her tail bone, stick cucuk into her butt. Luckily didn't paralyse.
@4:55 onwards. scary
100% agree. Gap jumps are insanely dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. Stay away from them if you are unsure.
An injury at this age, means weeks/months away from work etc. Cannot bro ahahaha
Oh thats Steve yap. Seen him at kiara.

Thanks for the safety awareness video. I am too old to get injured like this and will probably lose my job if I have to go on long medical leave. I will take it slow from now on as I sometimes get too excited to try new stuff and bigger jumps.
Good to go with someone who has experience and can guide you.
It took me awhile to take the drop at trail 5 despite me being an advance rider (when I was young I used to trial ride hence my shin got many scars). Just didn't dare mentally. Don't push it.
I mostly ride alone and sometimes convince my friend to join. Still relatively new to the sport. I am rawang area and usually ride here. Have not been to Kiara yet. Will come Kiara after I have more confidence.
Rawang? Never hear any trails there.
I'm suggesting pcp not kiara ahahaha.
Kiara is advance level. Trails have alot roots.. that's where I flipped my bike
Rawang got many unknown trails. Some are maintained, some are not but mostly kelapa sawit trails. The better known ones are in Bukit Kuari and Bukit Beruntung.
PCP too far away, 70km from my place. Will eventually go there once I get into better shape as I saw videos of it and it looks quite nice compared to the trails at my place.
Ahh thanks for sharing. Rawang is damn far for me too so likely won't go there unless the group goes along.
Anyway, happy riding. Hope to ride together 1 fine day.
Guys, need help.. I know got hundred or thousand ppl ask the same newbies question.. anyone heard abt java j-air suoh carbon mtb? Any good?
i got budget 2k.. this mtb just fit nicely in price.. Any other reputated brand/model i should explore? Im using cheap Malaya cycle mtb now, getting serious into it.. Im riding taman like 10km per day since 2 yrs ago. One a while, brought my bike to ulu yam for like 30-40km road ride. Need all sifu advice..

Got a minute? I'm putting together some data on the impact of social media advertising on cyclists' purchasing behavior for my MBA project and would love your input.
