Technically, almost everybody won't be able to tell the difference between 60 fps and 100 fps anyways.

V-sync is to prevent tearing.

Hmm despite the awesome mega textures, the skybox looks a bit low res in that demo. Maybe its a pre beta thing.

-game is coming out on the consoles too(texture probably wont change)

Tech 5 as a multi-platform engine will likely be behind time when it comes out. There is nothing in there that other engines couldn't do.

Previously they were able to cheat at the graphics curve by relying on insane system requirements, but with static console specs I'm guessing other engines/middlewares will eat Id for breakfast.

I was thinking about the same thing, Rage very similar to Borderlands, Fallout, Metro 2033 and etc.

just finished watching the 2 video for rage.
vehicle nitro boost reminds me of borderlands lol.

i like it how they game portrays the mutants as agile and aerobatic.
like the mutants in the movie pandorum.

can climb on pipes, etc.
so far i dun see many first person shooters monsters behave like that one.

I felt that the main rifle in the trailers is to similar to an AK-47 rifles. Well, at least it sounds better than the one in Metro 2033.

The screenshots looks... terribad. This is the new engine that's supposed to wow us?

Just gotta wait and read some reviews before buying the game.

Or worse come to worse, I'll just buy it off Steam / other digital distribution services during sales.

I doubt there would be a lot of extras in the retail version these days.

I am more of a fan for ID Software.

Got the ID Pack from Steam during sales.

Only games missing are Quake 4 and Enemy Territory.

I still remember playing doom 3 for 5 times. and its expansion ressurrection of evil for 3 times. what can i say, i'm a hardcore fps maniac. the best, most satisfying shooting experience in doom series. ID rocks!!!!
