actually any moddification involving power gaining or mods on the engine is illegal. mos cosmetic mod is legal, which is not affects ur engine power etc....
actually cops wont bother us, unless u got fancy appearance mod on ur bike. thats why i rather go for performance mod, but not those heavy mod la....

To be honest with you.. If its gona be your everyday bike then i suggest get an high end alarm system and 3 locks lol.. i think thats the max that you can do... oh and dont mod your bike too much or else its gona attrack those unwanted ppl
btw i have a question for those living in Penang.

When using chamber's: Any of you guys got stopped by Unit 42 (Police that rides the new kawasaki kips & scramblers) or during roadbloack? What happened when they see u using chambers? Saman? Take ur bike to the petani road then ask u to bring your original pipes? or what happens next? pls share im kinda scared to use my chamber cuz i heard lots of bad stories about these policemen

Bro Spayz i already found out the price for the v-looking thing on the front and also the eyelids.. sadly it comes in a set for 7 pieces.. which is the triangle thing on top of the head lamp, 2 eye lids, 2 v-looking thing on the bottom front & 2 pieces of i dont know what is that thing called, its under the eyelid one... and it all comes in carbon only.. i think u have to spray them if u want black colour.. btw its around RM68 for 1 set... and the rear mudguard u want carbon one is it? carbon one is around RM90 for 1 piece rear mudguard

raining0, I am using racing valvespring. It seems like my tapette is quite easy to sound compared to stock valvespring.

If you really go for long distance, better don't change to racing block. Stock block and piston is the best.

Besides this, racing camshaft is a no-no, because only Hi-Cam is available in Malaysia. Hi-cam is good for circuit but sux for daily ride. The mid-low rpm power is pathetic, so we need to pull the accelerator more to maintain speed. It is bad for FC. I've tried Yamaha Genuine Racing Cam and kinda disappointed for daily ride. If drag race, it is freaking syiok la.

What I recommend is to change stage by stage.

First,
Remove air filter, air box remain seated.

Second,
Change to a well design pipe. 80% of the pipe sux, only got sound but no power. Those well proven ones are ABM (not AHM), NOB1 SSS and NOB1 Triovale series. A simple tip is, try to find a pipe with slightly bigger diameter. TOo big will reduce the airflow velocity, and too small will kickback the exhaust gas back to the engine. Besides, make sure all the bends from the extractor --> collector --> muffler is smooth.
This airflow modification will optimize the air-fuel mixture, if tuned correctly, it can give u lower FC and higher power / torque output. I can guarantee u to have at least 10% power increase by just this 2 things. Last time, right after I have a good match of intake + exhaust, opening 1/4 throttle ady can rev the engine to ~8000rpm (at neutral gear). The engine will feel damn freaking light.

After this, I'll try to give u more tips if u want more.

Currently, my mod can use only 1/6 throttle to reach max rpm on Neutral gear. The power may not be as good as 60mm block, but I can guarantee a very smooth and responsive engine which can rev at any rpm. <-- this is the best thing I like about DiaSiL and forged piston. Racing block with steel will not have this kind of smoothness. Oh yea, I can start accelerating using 4th gear from 40kph.

Yeap, please rejet the carb.
It is very hard to find needle jet #22.5. I go to Hong Leong Yamaha also cannot find. Need to order online from Mikuni website and one jet costs USD7 (excluding shipping).

Perhaps you can go for #20 (stock) needle jet with slightly bigger mainjet (#107.5). If using #110, the is a slight power dip when transitioning from mid-range rpm to high rpm. This is because the needle jet is too small to handle anything bigger than #107.5 mainjet.

Best is to use 24mm Uma Racing carb, but need a good mechanic to convert the mouth to match the engine intake manifold. It also slightly increase the mid-range to high rpm power. 28mm racing carb is a no-no if you want to save petrol. My 28mm carb will lose about 10-20km per full tank compared to stock. But seriously, 28mm carb is powerful, can feel about 10% increase in torque and power in all range rpm.

Yeap, spark plug does help, especially iridium spark plug. Try NGK. Denso Iridium I have tried, it sux. Stock NGK non iridium also better.

For car, spark plug is more important, but for bike, ignition coil determines the spark quality. I've changed to a cubprix class ignition coil, cost me RM120. The stock NGK spark plug fires blue spark instead of red spark now. I can feel the engine much lighter and the rev response is improved. No help in top speed, just smoothen the power curve with very little ripples.

You can try out my bike during TT. I already have power booster and racing coil installed. That power booster is not good though, i plan to try out another better brand.
