What happens when Shopee Guarantee expires?

So here's what happened. I ordered an item with different color options and I chose black. Seller messaged me saying black is out of stock and offered other color options. I said no and asked seller if I should cancel my order. He doesn't reply so I cancelled anyway. To my surprise, I requested for cancellation just 8 hours after payment but it still needed permission from seller. Seller rejected my cancellation request, saying request reason is not accepted (I chose seller is not responding to messages), and that 'order will close'. I asked seller how would I get refund now and what he meant by 'order will close'. Seller yet to reply and I've also e-mailed Shopee support about it.
Now my question is, since black is not available, seller will never ship out the product, so once Shopee Guarantee reaches the Ship By date and expires, what happens? Do I get my refund? Will I get my money back eventually?

That's why I prefer to shop in Lazada. In Lazada you can cancel if your item has not been packed yet. Seller cannot dispute and money will be returned to your credit card. Shopee is more pro-seller.

Frist your reqeust reason is wrong.
Apply again with the right request and screenshot seller message says dont have stock. Upload it on your refund request.
After that contact shopee help and tell them what happened before

But I'm talking to the seller right now to resolve this issue.

Shopee will auto cancel if seller failed to deliver after few days past the deadline

If you did not see any button that ask to confirm receive, Shopee will auto cancel & refund to you. If that button appears, and shopee guarantee used, then expired, it will still automatically release to seller. Your only choice is to file dispute. Upon seller reject there should be a way to raise dispute somewhere... can't remember the location.

But buyers can reject parcel at doorstep and get refunded.

TS, u need to choose proper cancellation reason. I cancelled several order in shopee already and never get rejected.

guys, bad experience with Shopee Extended Guarantee.
the algorithm is flawed. If you did not receive your item by the "get by" date, immediately file for a refund. DO NOT EXTEND SHOPEE GUARANTEE, as if you click the extend Shopee Guarantee, your payment will automatically be released after 3 days (or once it expires).
I click the extended Shopee Guarantee giving the seller the benefit of doubt, but after 3 days, my payment had been released, my item has been indicated as received BUT I HAVEN'T RECEIVE MY ORDER!
I've emailed them and their policy is, once the money is released to the seller, Shopee really can't do anything, but 'they will try their best to assist me'. A long troublesome excruciating experience.
I still buy a lot from Shopee as they still have many good sellers, lesson learnt is, DO NOT EXTEND SHOPEE GUARANTEE, once your order doesn't reach on time, just click the return/refund. I know it would be a hassle if you need the item fast, but trust me, it's better to make another order with another seller than losing your money and not getting the item anyway.
Hope this help warns many others about Shopee Guarantee. If you know a better place to voice this, feel free to copy and paste.

Longest it takes up to 3 days for me, then another 3~5 days for money credited back to my bank account. I rarely file dispute since most item bought from well aged Seller (at least 6 months beyond) with so so review and/or cikai value item.

if item not ship within time, auto cancel. if seller ship wrong color, u just press refund and state seller ship wrong color, wait for seller acknowledge, pack it back and drop off at j&t
will refund, just slower

I got my money back after i clicked guarantee twice (3 weeks). The item still unshipped. I just email shopee and they refunded it in 3 days.
