Take the phone back to the shop and ask for a firmware reflash.

Correction : W850i isn't a symbian phone. It need to reflash the firmware to enable to have simplified chinese.

Original Midland set can claim keypad crack for a change without any charges.

It can be claimed. Some of the forumer already did that and a success change without any charges.

Housing crack ? It will depends on the service center. If by human fault, no doubt no free service for that.

Nope. UK version of W850i will be consider as AP set in Malaysia.

It's not warranty by Midland or Thorus, how you gonna claim as original warranty ?

For your information, every phone are genuine. Just the warranty that determine whether it's an AP set or an original warranty by local distributor such as Midland, Thorus and etc.

Add on : You can send your AP set to those service center but you have to pay for it because it's not warranty by local distributor which assign by Sony Ericsson.

Nope. AP set warranty didn't cover the crack keypad.

Skinning will most probably solve the problem. I saw some forumer here skinned and his/her phone has no cracking problems.

Try not to press down too much ?

How will it turn not nice ? Skinning transparent is like nothing or you can't see anything on it. It's so smooth.

No AF. Sound quality is loud.
I do not know how loud is your loud. For me, it's loud enough.

Walkman theme is just animated screen saver. The menu has not been changed.
