Changing network will affect OTP up to 72 hours. That's normal.

But does it affect sending SMS as well?

I just ported back to CD Kuning. Data and phone calls work fine. OTP cannot receive (as expected).

But I cannot send SMS, too? Never encountered this even with so many MNPs in the past (maybe I didn't try sending SMS in those times).

After 1 week of porting-in since 24/11/2024, SMS not working at all - can't send and can't receive.

There is 1-day validity extension option in CD Kuning.

Is anyone using eSIM after porting into CelcomDigi Kuning prepaid (as opposed to already using eSIM on Digi pre-merger but switched plan to CD Kuning)?

So the first eSIM was Kuning from the start or Digi pre-merger?

Oh... should not make a difference since you went from Kuning eSim to Kuning SIM to Kuning eSIM.

As long as your WhatsApp has been set up and working fine: -

1) it only needs an internet connection (whether through mobile or wifi) to work; and

2) you do not need to have the SIM to be active nor plugged into the same phone where your WhatsApp is installed - WhatsApp is totally independent of the validity of your SIM card and SIM location PROVIDED you have another source of internet connection (i.e. through wifi).

You will only need the SIM to receive OTP from WhatsApp during installation/ re-installation of WhatsApp on a new device.

Why not just call Digi and clarify? No point being stressed about small thing like that

All other SLL-models (Pantas, XOX, Unifi, Tunetalk) have to fork out $$ for data separately as no basic data whatsoever included.

So their worthiness is not dependent on price solely unless the line you intend to be SLL-ed is a "deadfish" line with no purpose whatsoever than just to keep it alive.

Just ported-in to CD Kuning.

The NX and UV add-ons didn't appear in app.

Went to *118#, add-ons were there but could not subscribe - "Sorry you are not eligible to purchase this plan" was the error message.

BUT, no u-turn back to NEXT plan after convert.

The change from NEXT to CD Kuning is immediate. As for the NX/UV passes, my case was a port-in and not convert - the NX/ UV passes appeared only after 24 hours on the dot.

Based on the discussions here, NEXT has more BoS offers like more readily available SLL offers of RM38/RM54. On CD Kuning, SLL hard to come by which should not be an issue if your line will always have the NX/UV or other "Always Active" passes.

Is anyone using the DataSIM 500GB (RM65) pass?

Can the hotspot be used on through routers or must be through smartphone?
