Digi served me well for over 10 years, but I had to bid farewell due to issues arising after their merger with Celcom.

I would have stayed with Digi if not for their unreasonable new rules and packages

They forget that if they do not improve people will change. Too comfortable with the largest subs now. I made the switch in 2022 due to bad coverage after 3g shut down.

Recently got a call from 'DigiHelpLine' 0162211800,
offering me the new Postpaid 40 package, free x GB for 6 months or something like that, I can't recall,
I'm on the basic 35 HS (highspeed) plan
The guy was telling me I could get 5G access and a new faster phone.. I told him my cheap plan is already 5G enabled and every month I didn't even finish the given 30Gb quota for my plan. I asked if I can get a cheaper plan with similar benefits, he replied postpaid 40 is the cheapest  laugh.gif
*
Be ware those extra gb for 6 months might land you into contract.

I just bought the 500gb 5g-4g rm8 just to try 5g

And the 5g signal finally show on my phone

So yeap need to pay up for 5g access for old cheapo legacy plan like mine

its only for 4 days lol

I thought 5g acees is free for all plans what a scam

Anyway i dun really care lah after the 4days i just to use my 4g+ and pay the monthly average rm28 for 30gb bill which is quite cheap and the only rrason im still staying with digi
*
Hahaha, 5g free access for all is just a dream. For some telco like celcom digi, they don't bother giving you 5g if you stay on old legacy plan. Even new plan gives you 5g capped at 100mbps which 4g can achieve more than that speed.

QUOTE(yolldddd @ May 3 2024, 08:29 AM)
Wah prepaid cheaper than postpaid like that should i switch

Any beniftis to keeping the postpaid

Hmmmm maybe roaming???
*
Yes, you can consider switching as there is no significan benefit, unless you are on more expensive plan which offers roaming perks. RM25 gives you 40gb which is more data than your current plan.

I am a digi user with 4 sublines. i was out of contract on 30 apr and trying to port out to digi.

I have no outstanding and only hav a current bill of RM 190. even if I pay, no outstanding (zero)

all 5 lines port out and acknowledged by DIGI. but still rejected.

does that mean pay the current bill ?

the reason for reject "TEST HOTBILL TIMER OVERDUE"
*
Let me understand you correctly. If you have current rm190 unpaid bill, then it is outstanding. You should pay that 190 and resubmit port out request.
Also try to check with Digi if you can port out main+sup line, or need to decouple all and port out.

QUOTE(colins @ May 14 2024, 07:09 PM)
It's been really frustrating to deal with Digi, especially the customer service which is impossible to reach. Response on messages is usually copy&paste, and doesn't address specific query. Also, the convoluting reloads price, validity, and plans, hidden cost, and drip pricing (e.g. port-in fee extra RM10 not shown upfront).

So, what is the best basic prepaid plan should I consider porting to next? I only need a few GB data/month, doesn't matter 5G or not.

Thanks!
*
Can check out Yoodo. 20gb for rm20.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ May 14 2024, 11:47 PM)
Keeping my old number and ported in. The sim card doesn't seem to come with any credit. I reloaded RM30. RM25 goes into plan, balance RM5. Then wasted 90 cents to voicemail, so current credit is RM4.10. I think this is how it works. Means everytime I reload in future, part of it will be used for the plan (i havent check mine is auto renew or not).

This is different from the olden days. Where reload RM30, still have RM30 balance. Then will deduct any call/sms. That is how my dad's xpax credit now is RM700+ as keep reloading RM30. Maybe need to find out if can use the use the existing credit to reload.
*
There's a reason why it is called prepaid Edisi Kuning 25. If they don't deduct that rm25 how do you expect to have data for the plan? If you wish to remain like the olden days whereby reload RM30, still have RM30 balance, you have to find prepaid that is on pay per use plan.

I didn't miscalculate. The latest bill I received yesterday actually shows RM -16.

Yes, that's a negative. It means I've overpaid.
*
Now, have to find out how to get the refund.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ May 20 2024, 06:14 PM)
I have deactivated my voicemail twice, one by myself using the self menu, another by CS. However, when I followed the steps and fater my phone restarts, received a pop up message there is a new voicemail. Didn't receive any drop down message like yours.

add: last last, the CS tell me to go to digi store to change to e-sim  doh.gif how can like that la
*
Change to ESim is sure way to solve red dot problem. Just change sim card is 50-50 chance, it may or may not solve the problem.

Is Digi totally finish?
I can't find the store anymore, only Celcom digi now.
I want to change plan, then the Celcom staff offer me better postpaid plan.
So, should I port out from Digi...and change to Celcom?
*
No need to port out to Celcom, Celcom Digi is one entity now. You want to change from which plan to which? And what's the offer they gave?

Buy or not buy 😂 , I'm just using Celcomdigi RM25 per month only .. maybe no need for me

No need. Super long life is for those who want to keep their number active without subs to any monthly plan.

How’s celcomdigi fibre network quality? Is it any good? Currently using maxis one prime and thinking to refresh to newer maxis unlimited due to 5g+cheaper pricing. But saw celcomdigi also have similiar unlimited postpaid+fibre offering.

Is celcomdigi considered better than maxis network quality wise? Just asking because got report that i saw that mentioned celcom digi have almost twice the subscriber of maxis. So give me the impresion that maybe its better
*
Don't be fool by number of subscriber. The number of subscriber is because Celcom merge with Digi. Both Celcom and Digi has around 10 million subscriber each, when merge becomes 10+10, hence it is the largest telco.

hmm, based on here, the edisi kuning, rm25 package and rm 39 package, the speed capped at 100mbps:

https://help.celcomdigi.com/support/solutio...isclosure-sheet
I am on Digi Prepaid Next, but still cant get 5G on my phone, unless i sign up to the one time pass 5G_xxx.
and once signed up, got the 5G connection but speedtest dot net will get capped at 100 Mbps.

Before signing up, standing at the same location, the 4G+ connection can get >200 Mbps.

Strange situation.
*
Does that mean the speed capped applies to 4g as well.

Guys, what is the current cheapest special postpaid plan (single and not famiy plan) that focus only on calls and SMS?
Don't need data internet or just limited data for emergency use.

Need info. Thank you.
*
For Celcomdigi, it is Postpaid 40 SE. For other telco, you may consider Hotlink Postpaid 30 or Umobile U 38.

Just wondering can Digi Prepaid balance transfer to Postpaid ?
*
Cannot. But if you convert your line from prepaid to postpaid the balance can carry over. I may be wrong though.

Want to get the opinion of users here. One of the digi sim registered under my parent is using BiGBonus 28 with unlimited calls + 4GB + daily 1GB 1pm-7pm. Any disadvantage if migrate to Kuning 25?

Thanks. Looks like there is no disadvantage from Bigbonus to Kuning 25. It's mainly for my mom use on her phone, hence hotspot is not a thing to worry about.

Umobile U38 or Hotlink Postpaid 45, but have to depend on coverage in your area.

I think the new Digi Postpaid 40 SE do not come full speed. You may confirm by checking their website.

only CelcomDigi has tier speed? or others as well?
*
To my knowledge, CelcomDigi and it's NVMO TuneTalk both has speed capped on 5G. Meanwhile, Yes, Umobile, Maxis and Uni5G no tier speed.
