it isnt a bug, they claim it is a 'bug' to protect their asses

all other apps have already rectified the problem, dunno why Digi still keeping the bug, hence lousy

My MyDigi doesn't have this issue you raised. So it likely is affecting only certain iOS users.

Try copying a message on WhatsApp then immediately launch the MyDigi app?

Tried on 3 different iPhones (6S, XS and 12 Pro), all running on iOS 14.2 with the latest MyDigi app, none is experiencing the problem you raised.

Hi all, want to ask about VoWifi
Knowing that with VoWifi, when I am overseas I can call Malaysia with local rates when on wifi.

How about if I receive call in overseas via VoWifi? Will it free or get charges as roaming call?
*
Do make sure your signal is showing Digi WiFi Calling before answering the call to avoid bill shock. Call will drop if the signal suddenly drops to Digi roaming partner at the country you’re at. Yes, this happens sometimes but it is extremely rare.

SMS sent when on Digi WiFi Calling is treated as SMS sent within Malaysia as well.

QUOTE(MGM @ Dec 8 2020, 09:13 AM)
So no need for roaming any more?
*
You can turn off roaming if you do not wish for any calls to go through when you are not connected to Digi WiFi Calling overseas.

I however, always have my roaming toggled on. Just make sure your roaming voicemail is disabled to avoid any unanswered calls getting re-directed to your voicemail service because once it’s re-directed to your voicemail and you are on roaming, you will be charged as if you’ve picked up the call.

Hi sifus, want to ask about digi sim card replacement to enable 4g. Currently if there is sim pin on old sim will the new sim sim pin be the same or resetted to default sim pin
*
All new Digi 4G sim isn’t PIN protected. And there is a one-time replacement fee of RM10 to change new sim.

So if i dont want to incur high cost incoming calls n sms, i just need to have my prepaid DG without roaming, keep my DG sim in the phone n put in a new foreign SIM with DataPlan?
*
If you do not toggle on roaming, your Digi sim will show no signal. So your Digi line is not going to work. But yes, you still can keep that Digi sim in your phone if you have a dual-sim mobile phone.

QUOTE(akhito @ Dec 8 2020, 11:50 AM)
Thanks for the reply. Just to make sure the number in old sim card will be transferred to new sim?
*
Are you referring to your contacts saved to your Digi sim ? Contacts saved to your Digi sim is saved locally in your Digi sim. So no. They won’t get transferred to your new sim.

If you are using Android, you can save all your contacts to your Google account. I’m using iOS, so everything is saved to my iCloud.

Sorry to correct you, even in airplane mode, digi wifi call still work. So digi line will still work fine but based on the internet connection.
*
I was referring to the particular question posted. But yes, Digi WiFi calling works even on airplane mode. I wrote on Maxis VoLTE thread last month that a few SMS blasted in after my phone was connected to the plane's WiFi somewhere over India last year.

One thing i forgot when replying early on is that i forgot not all Digi Prepaid subscribers have unlimited calls because in my mind i kept thinking about Digi Postpaid only.

No official announcement when Digi is going to withdraw the NEXT 30 or NEXT 35 add-on. Digi first came out with a truly unlimited data Postpaid plan in 2017 and it was supposed to be a limited time promotion. But it's almost February 2021 now yet the plan is still on sale. So, just take whatever rumours you hear or read on the internet or whatever Digi staffs tell you with a pinch of salt until you see an official announcement from Digi or when the plan disappears. If you are happy with the plan offered now, just subscribe and enjoy it whilst it lasts and look for alternatives when the promotion ends. Don't overthink thumbsup.gif

Just bought new phone with rm120 plan

It stated 2x60gb all day internet....isit meaning 60gb faster &60 gb lower?

Why not mention 120gb internet all day
*
It is 60GB full speed + 60GB full speed. This is because you can subscribe to this plan even if you don't buy a phone from Digi but it will come with a standard 60GB data only. The extra 60GB data is applicable only to those on Digi Phone Freedom plan (for the RM120 call plan).

Apparently this is what I discovered recently.
There are Unlimited Data packages - but with a catch.
It must be registered in East Coast or Southern states.
Source: From a random seller.

Search for Digi Prepaid Unlimited : https://shopee.com.my/search?keyword=digi%2...aid%20unlimited

and you will see the hidden treasure.
Guess they don't want give Unlimited Data to big cities huh.  laugh.gif
*
I believe it is due to Digi's market share in the states listed above (Kelantan, Teregganu, Kedah, Perlis, Johor and Melaka) is the smallest amongst the Big 3. Similar to how Hotlink used to have cheaper Hotlink EM plans in East Malaysia and Maxis now still offers Maxis Postpaid 68 only in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan. Digi is very big in Sabah and Sarawak, especially in Sabah where Digi market share easily trumps that of Maxis, hence Digi doesn't bother to offer special plan in Sabah.

yes for Umobile not by Digi

Sorry but please refrain from spreading false information over and over again because tympg and Hummingbird are both right that calls made via Digi WiFi Calling to a Malaysia numbers are considered local calls, thus if you have unlimited calls with your call plan, it is absolutely free. I have confirmed this on this board many times and they were all through actual calls i made from 6 different countries in Europe, Middle-east, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Call automatically dropped if the reception suddenly changed to a roaming partner in the midst of a call, hence one doesn't have to worry about bill-shock.

Digi reportedly enabled Digi WiFi Calling overseas in early 2018. This information was first shared by a fellow user who frequented the Finance Section of this forum but i forgot what's his username already. He apparently noticed his Digi WiFi Calling worked in Amsterdam and his call back to Malaysia wasn't charged. I personally tried it out in April 2018 in South Korea for the first time and indeed the call back to Malaysia was free since i was already using an unlimited call plan.

Yes, I think you are right. It wasn't unlimited but at least the cap were high. I only realised I was being charged after sending SMSes last month and this month. (Less than 50 per month).

Still, it's absurd that some telcos can do it while DiGi completely removed it from all of their plans. doh.gif  doh.gif

Maxis is the only mobile carrier offering unlimited SMS for all of its postpaid plans (including those marketed under Hotlink Postpaid).

Early on Celcom offered unlimited SMS for the very hot RM80 postpaid plan too but not anymore.

Digi on the other hand, initially didn't offer any free SMS for its postpaid plan. I remembered writing a feedback to Digi around 2016 that they should bundle limited free SMS to a certain more expensive postpaid plans and a few months later, Digi really did. Their best-selling RM80 postpaid plan has been bundled with 300 free SMS since.

They revamped the main shop page to show all available plans (except Digi Prepaid LiVE and Abadi which still need maneuvering).

Digi revamped mobile postpaid plans don't seem very competitive anymore. Some older plans especially the publicly available Digi Postpaid 80 was much cheaper.

Good news is whoever wants to buy subsidised mobile phone from Digi under Digi Phone Freedom 360 plan can now do so and enjoy unlimited data at the same time by subscribing to Digi Postpaid 150 + RM0 unlimited data add-on. Do note FUP now is capped at 999GB per billing cycle.

Digi 90 is appealing and attacking Maxis 98 since its only gets 40GB but they drops 190🙄
Hope Maxis revamped soon
*
The now phased out Digi Postpaid 80 offered 40GB of data upon sign-up and you will end up with 80GB of data after staying with them for 2 years. It was a much better plan.

Those Maxis Postpaid 98 users who did not port-in to Digi Postpaid 80 back then, the likelihood of them switching to Digi now is even lower.

True I was using Digi Postpaid 80 before I’m get 30GB all day plus 10GB and 10GB freebies plus Youtube 30GB allocated now seems to be they changed everything now. Their old plan was fine there’s no need revamp their plans now. They problem is Maxis forcing to customers join hotlink for cheaper and maxis for premium customers LOL
*
Frankly i'm very puzzled with Digi's strategy. Both Maxis and Celcom postpaid plans are getting better value every year. Yes. Maxis is extremely stubborn in the sense that they refuse to lower their postpaid price but at least almost every year we see some improvements in their postpaid packages (more data). So that's something. Digi on the other hand, has always had problems getting their subscribers staying on more expensive postpaid plan yet they are now making their postpaid plans more expensive than before rclxub.gif

Their Digi Fibre and Postpaid bundle was easily the cheapest out there (100Mbps for RM130 + RM60 for unlimited mobile postpaid). But now the same pairing you will have to pay RM130 (100Mbps) + RM120 (Digi Postpaid 150 with RM0 add-on to activate unlimited data with FUP 999GB after RM30 discount).

For Fibre + Postpaid bundle with unlimited data for mobile postpaid line, Maxis is definitely much cheaper by miles !

I much rather they don't come up with standalone unlimited data mobile postpaid plan so to avoid congestion. Anyway, one already can get unlimited data by bundling a Maxis Postpaid with Maxis Fibre. So far seems to be working great for Maxis.

Guys I have a question

During me using Digi they giving me 30GB for youtube alone early it was fine then I was issues while watching YouTube as when ever I watch YouTube my data only limited to 3 to 10 mbps sometimes only stuck on 3 to 7 mbps it was due to YouTube allocated data ? Even after I changed plan Digi 38 I was faced similar issues then I port out to another telco!!

So I’m plan to move back Digi so please clear me sifu’s
*
When did this happen ? Even now some video streaming sites Digi is capping the speed to a maximum of 15Mbps or so during certain times of the day.

If the WiFi suddenly gets disconnected, the call will also drop. So no worries about getting roaming bill shock. This was from my actual experience in Japan and UK.
