Based on Maxis financial report, their users used an average of 15GB of mobile data every month. Digi average mobile data usage is around there too. So it means the number of abusers are still not really all that great which is a good thing. That probably also explains why Digi Postpaid 150 Infinite isn’t selling all that well. It’s good to have a choice though.

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Jul 30 2020, 03:14 PM)
Hi all, fellow Digi user here. I am still using the old Digi family plan (my number is the main line + 2 more sub lines) which comes with total 100GB data per month (shared among 3), all lines unlimited calls and 5GB roaming for main line (selected countries, but useless now anyway). Total cost is RM172.73 after SST.

I am just wondering is there any other postpaid family plans (even if it's not Digi) that comes with similar data (70-100GB) and unlimited calls with lower price?

So far I think mine is very good plan and it's discontinued from new subscribers. Just want to see if I can save a bit since I don't need as much as 100GB.
*
The new Digi Family plan is now priced at RM38 with dedicated mobile data allocation at 40GB. It also gets the same unlimited calls + 300 SMS just like the main line (assuming it’s Digi Postpaid 80).

Here is what they look like :
Digi Postpaid 80 (main line)
- 40GB data + 40GB loyalty data (10GB to be given out every 6 months up to 2 years) + 1GB all-usage free data every day.
- unlimited calls
- 300 SMS

Digi Family 38 (1st supplementary line)
- 40GB data
- unlimited calls
- 300 SMS

Digi Family 38 (2nd supplementary line)
- 40GB data
- unlimited calls
- 300 SMS

Grand total a month : RM156, or around RM52 per person.

Data between principal and supplementary lines are not shareable unless you pay an additional of RM10 a month.

Unlimited postpaid for only RM60 with no speed capped.

Now with Digi Internet Freedom Mobile 60, hopefully they will reconsider the price point of Digi Postpaid Infinite 100 and Digi Postpaid 150 Infinite.

Anyway, this is essentially MaxisONE Prime ! Good to see another mobile carrier going down this route.

QUOTE(ckimsem @ Oct 2 2020, 09:19 PM)
Where did you see that?  rclxub.gif
RM90 is 50mpbs plan, and 100mbps is RM130.

And you can only get unlimited postpaid (two maximum) with no speed cap for RM60 on 100mbps fibre plan.
That's RM130 (fibre) + RM60 (postpaid) + RM60 (postpaid) = RM250 total excluding SST

It was there earlier around 7PM when one clicked ‘check coverage’. Luckily I did take a screenshot of it.

Thank you for sharing this. My bad too excited and I forgot to screenshot it. If I can get RM90 for 100mbps I can convert my Digi postpaid line to unlimited.

Digi Internet Freedom Mobile 60 is a very good add-on indeed ! Good to know Digi Postpaid Unlimited plans are here to stay ! Am still hoping Digi will give permanent rebate to old Digi Infinite users with good payment record smile.gif

used to use digi back in 2011..not so good back then

now using celcom old package rm48/month only 5gb internet. want to upgrade but only cheapest is rm98/month with 40gb internet. too expensive and data too much as i already have unifi at home. only need data when at work or outside

saw Digi postpaid Start only rm58/month and 15gb data more than enough for me. only do social media at most..no gaming hehe
*
Actually, Celcom XP Lite with M Pass will cost you only RM38/month and you get unlimited calls + 8GB data + unlimited YouTube (SD).

But anyway, if Digi works for you, then do stay with Digi. You can also go to Digi Store to request to change to Digi Postpaid 38 next time that gives you up to 21GB data.

Mydigi can check the line terminated date?

No you can’t unless you do the manual calculation yourself. The easiest way is to call 016-211 1800 to find out.

I think almost all telco release the prepaid unlimited internet plan that had no auto renew and might be gone anytime too

Not for Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited. It just doesn’t work like that for Hotlink.

Just like all the Hotlink plans prior to Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited such as Hotlink FAST and Hotlink RED, existing users on those plans are not affected and may continue to stay on those plans to enjoy whatever features that come with the plan. For instance, Hotlink FAST continues to offers 2GB 4G data every weekends even though this plan has long been discontinued for new activation.

My current Digi 4G+ speed. Hardly the best but okay overall. This is a high-rise condominium.

I finally ported out from DiGi after 10 years of relationship... Was using the Infinite 80 plan but speed capped at a mere 10Mbps only. I've been using this plan ever since the Infinite plan rolled out back in 2017 I think.

Recently installed Maxis fibre 30Mbps at home so I've decided to port to Maxis and take the Unlimited 68 plan (East M'sia only). Quite happy now I've experienced speed definitely more than 10Mbps capped by the yellow team... All in all, monthly commitment RM89 + RM68 = RM157 is definitely worth it for both home and mobile biggrin.gif

actually speaking...

nowadays even Maxishit speed is better than Digi...

either Digi really going down the drain or Maxshit improve alot whistling.gif laugh.gif

I believe Maxis has always been better than Digi especially in big cities with the exception of East Malaysia where Digi is clearly better in more places.

I don’t usually see Maxis giving a download speed of 100Mbps or over but the speed overall is consistent, likely their AI is at play here whereas Digi sometimes can give crazy download speed of 100Mbps and then go down to 50Mbps. In some places where the usual speed is around 30Mbps, the speed sometimes go down to around 13Mbps which rarely happens to Maxis.

Yes that is correct. Hence Celcom’s market share in East Malaysia is big. But the funny thing is, Digi and Maxis are both better than Celcom in KK.

MyDigi app is stealing our clipboard data. It pasted my link from Shopee WhatsApp etc etc without my approval.

Thanks iOS 14 for giving me a heads up.

If you copy and paste porn links then open MyDigi app. DiGi knows what porn you like

Lousy DiGi

QUOTE(cyclopcom @ Dec 7 2020, 12:06 PM)
if what you said is true then it is not only lousy ,it is devilish,it can be use to steal anything from your phone include password ,personal data, chat contents and etc.

If mydigi app can do this means other apps also could do the same like bank's apps,e-wallet,goverment apps, online shopping apps, even apps download from playstore etc.

So better don't use smartphone to do anything especially pricavy related.

This is a known issue in iOS 14. This issue was raised by iPhone users in October with the new Maybank MAE app and Maybank issued a statement saying they are aware of this issue but it’s an iOS bug and Maybank doesn’t copy anything from your clipboard.

Read more here.
