Your taman already got Unifi serving the area? If got, almost unlikely Allo won't be coming.

The lucky ones are those probably don't have both yet then Allo decides to cover there who knows TM also kiasu end up you get double coverage by both companies. laugh.gif
*
No fiber, only Unifi Lite aka Slowmyx up to 8mbps..

Are you sure the poles are for TNB Allo Fibre optic cables?

They have purple color stamps on it with Allo logo instead of regular TNB logo.
*
At the moment there is no any indication that it is for Allo other than it was install by TNB contractors but then why would they install this poles when the Taman already have electric supply from TNB. 😁

I think maybe this additional poles are for house blocks that don't have TNB electrical poles infront house. 🤔

Edit:-
There, jimmythw have confirm it..

Taman Batu Gajah Transit is allo. Batu gajah got few place and also pusing there.

yes i agree with you. allo kind of good boy. doesnt want to overlap tee emm. i feel that allo will expand their service at batu gajah perdana, some area at pusing and papan.
*
Batu Gajah Perdana already have Unifi since 2017 including TMN Puspa Pusing.
Meanwhile at Taman Pusing Baru recently saw TM contractor laying fiber cable & white FDP box.

Also notice that Taman Mewah Indah at BG have stack of TNB poles yet to to be install but few months back TM did install fiber cable at that Taman. 🤔
The only thing i'm not sure for what purpose did TM pull the cable coz there is only one fiber cable on their pole from the main DB..😅

Some area in Batu Gajah will overlap TM Fiber.

As this list leak out, I can confirm to say you can see T× soon bz laying cable around.
*
QUOTE(Candy12 @ Dec 22 2020, 05:30 PM)
Yes from learning the mistake previously of informing the public in advance, they woke TM up and made them expedite their rollout to those areas to get people to sign up before TNB Allo could complete their installation works.

This time, better learn from mistake. Keep the rollout plans secret!
*
What makes u guys think that Allo's competitors does not know about Allo's planning before this list even exists?

The moment Allo submit or received the approval to do their job, all the competitors will manage to dig out all the info they need. They don't need to wait for 'leaks' to happen.
That's the reason at TMN Pusing Baru & TMN Indah Mewah, TM has already start laying fiber cables in July this year.

Well you sounded like a sour competitor through unhappy about what I said previouslybrows.gif

TNB isn't telling now which other cities they'll be expanding to recently they're going to give TM a big surprise.
Don't think you can beat a energy utility company in terms of cash flow. They have almost full monopoly of West Malaysia's electricity utility supply market It doesn't take much to bundle fiber optics which is cheap an abunadnt today to run along all their power grids.
*
I am a sour competitor? What are talking about? 🤦‍♂️
Dude, i my self have been waiting to subscribe Allo's CBB & have submit my name to the CBB agent even after TM have lay their fiber cable at my house row & open for subscription since last month.

TNB isn't telling publicly does not mean competitors are not aware about the plans. The don't wait for leaks, they'll hunt for the info. This is how competitors do their job.

What you said is correct. Every telco have to submit their application to local authority for approval before they can start work and it can be easily access by any isp. But a submission doesnt mean the plan cannot be cancel or amend. Like this list, Allo have finalize which particular Taman they want to pull the fiber. With this list, T× will have no problem to pinpoint the overlap of Allo area and add a few amount of Taman around it together.

From my observation, Allo only appoint 1 main-con to do all the pulling of fiber but T× appoint afew main-con to do the job at different area at the same time. During Allo pulling fiber at Menglembu (at Tmn Menglembu/Tmn Camy/Tmn HK), T× also do the same at this Taman and add Regrouping area (U) together & at the same time T× also laying cable at Bandar Lahat Baru.
*
Ya, agreed on the bolded part but i do think competitors will know about it too.

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Dec 22 2020, 09:52 PM)
juzmafia I assume the list is for contractor working schedule for next year.

Not exactly, they are already doing pole & cable installation work on some of the listed Taman.

Most pole is already setup in Pusing & Batu Gajah area. Today i went to PMU Papan and saw a few car there (maybe doing setup of data center). Survey Tmn Metro Pengkalan, found out only a few row of house will enjoy Allo. The others already on U××f×.
*
Ya correct, in TMN BG Transit they already install Fiber cable, FDP & FDC. Now waiting for main cable to FDC. Last i saw the contractor doing drilling work at the 4 way intersection on Monday.
What's weird is that they are really focusing on this BG Transit 1st.

It seem the Allo progress in Pusing/Batu Gajah very very slow. Today I went around to see, still NO sign of the service going online anytime soon.😴

[attachmentid=10755786]
Taken at Tmn BG Transit (same goes to Bandar Sri Pengkalan) FDC not number yet.
*
They installed this on 19/12/20 and just last friday there was one tech doing some installation inside the cabinet.

Ya it is slow at BG, last week they were laying fiber cable at Taman Mewah Indah next to BG Transit meanwhile underground laying at near BG Perdana.

As for today no installation activity.
For BG Transit the only noticeable thing left is the main cable from their Server to the FDC.

TM is another shiet monopoly companies, where last time we don't have second choice but only can choose TM.

Complained for at least 8 years (since 2012) why no UniFi and when are coming, only replied we are sorry, currently we have no idea (no plan) when are coming to your area.

fast-forward to last year when Allo plan to expand into northern region aka Ipoh, wow!!! Their TM efficiency instantly sky-rocket even faster setup than Allo. Now call you and inform you congrats we are coming! (dam finally for freaking 8 years)
*
Similar to my Taman, they never bother to entertain any Unifi Fiber request even though they had lay fiber cable for the School next to my Taman since 3-4 years ago.

Just a week before Allo setup poles, two TM agent suddenly appear to collect names for those who are interested in Unifi Fiber.
Then at the end of Nov 2020, TM contractor loop a new fiber cable from the School's FDP to one of their pole at the end of my House row which they could have done that 3 years back & even worst they only install one FDP to support whole 20 house not including shops.🤦‍♂️
Since then they have installed Unifi for three customer by pulling single fiber cable from one corner to another corner for each customer..😂

And today, they were laying new fiber cable to add another FDP at the same row..
The way i look at it, they probably gonna lay the cable for the whole Taman.

Finally..

October 2020 -> TNB/Allo setup poles at Taman
November 2020 -> Lay fiber cable
December 220 -> Install FDP & FDC
January 2021 -> Lay fiber cable from their server to FDC
February 2021 -> Fiber Installation work begin at subscriber's home

The contractors that came to my house was from Melaka & they are here to support Ipoh team due to high subscription demand.
According to the contractor, in BG every port/pole have been pre-assigned to each home by Allo team unlike in Melaka where contractor have to inform to the technical team which port/pole they are using & need to be activated.
Not sure if they are doing the same thing for other Taman in Perak.

So far the speed is good, the ping was 24ms at first but now is below 10ms.
Also am i getting private ip instead of public ip..?🤔
Coz on router is 10.83.XX.XXX, while on browser is 202.168.XX.XXX

Nice setup looks way more professional than TM's standard installation with a wall socket box.
Have you tried requesting for public IP from them? What were their feedbacks?

Also how are the speeds to surrounding regions? SG, Japan, US and Europe?
*
Actually, this is temporary setup at the Kitchen area near the entry point. The actual plan was to install the equipment at the TV cabinet but the contractors does not have proper tools to pull the cable through the ceilings which has some obstacle so will try to do it myself or have to find wiremen to do it properly.
The complete setup does come with wall socket but since it is temporary so they didn't install it, only use the SC connector from the wall socket box to connect both fiber cable.

So to those who going to subscribe to Allo better to plan properly & make sure the route to ur preferred location for the equipments is clear of obstacles.

Been trying to contact Allo since yesterday regarding the IP issue but unsuccessful so will be emailing them on this issue.
