QUOTE(Xelnagakail @ Jun 18 2021, 08:28 PM) Don't know why they done this, not everyone will get 100Mbps or higher. For me I currently using 50Mbps which is more than enough for me and my family. because commission is too low for agent on RM 79 package. Lucky enough i got my 50mbps back in May. 50Mbps is great for two users running 4K video concurrent juzmafia liked this post

Well IMO, 50mbps is way adequate for 2 person usage. 100mbps perhaps 3-4 person.
Till now i've no idea how to really fully utilize the 500mbps with 4 person at home. For Ipoh user, did you guys experience 3 - 4 times, sudden internet connection downtime for a minute per day? |

QUOTE(jcws87 @ Jun 24 2021, 01:34 PM) This happen to Menglembu area when Allo first deploy it service. Most of the time I heard was fiber cut. What my friends did was to complaint to agent and CBB. Hopefully your area can be problem free soon as from my understanding, menglembu area didnt experience tis problem after so many month. So I should start calling allo and complain about my abrupt disconnect. |

QUOTE(Cincai.La @ Jul 6 2021, 07:07 PM) I will try to ask the technical when they come to install for me. Maybe they will come on Thursday since my installation date is on Monday. I've call the Hotline about the Public IP, for home user is 99% confirm won't get that feature even you try to apply it. For Business package, Public IP is not automatically provided. You still have to apply it with valid reason and 90% most of the time they grant your application.BTW, will private IP affect gaming experience? If not mistaken, game like GTA V online or others game which using p2p will be getting NAT Strict(type 3) which unable to host a game right? Cincai.La liked this post

QUOTE(kskoay @ Jul 11 2021, 08:00 AM) So basically we don’t need public ip….but why some ppl are asking allo to change to public ip? What is the beneficial for that? Thanks again probably for a good excuse to grab Public IP since people generally mention CCTV as security purpose priority Allo mention normally people asking for Public IP is for gaming generally. |

Did Allo team ever wonder why they still provide AC1200 wifi routers to 500mbps and 1Gbps user? When it's wireless output doesn't exceed 400mbps. Whenever you question them, they replied..."have you ever tried LAN direct connection?". It's already 2021... how often you see users use LAN direct connection. All are using WiFi instead. Isn't better they just provide us AX1500 or AX1800 wifi router at the very least.

QUOTE(jcws87 @ Jul 14 2021, 04:45 PM) Actually, the Tp-link A6 provided by Allo CBB can perform up to 867Mbps on 5GHz (based to info from tp-link website). Don't trust those speed from a AC1200 867mbps output from 5GHz. won't even get near it.[attachmentid=10928256] So basically, customer on 500Mbps package have no issue. Even U××f× also giving AC1200 in this age (2021). On the LAN, that's the basic requirement set by MCMC. If ISP can provide the promise speed on LAN, that's not a problem even if your wifi output didnt reach it. I have face this problem too, where I subscribe to U××f× 100Mbps. I try 2.4GHz signal, only 50+Mbps but on 5GHz signal i can get 100Mbps. When technician came to check on my frequent sudden disconnection, suggested me to use back my TP-Link C6. When i did a speedtest on 5GHz band from my Intel AC9560 which can pull 1.7Gbps on 5GHz 160mhz i only able to get not 400mbps above. Once I swapped back to my Asus AX3000 TUF, instantly i get 540mbps and the technician is speechless about it. |

QUOTE(aniq8676 @ Jul 14 2021, 02:58 PM) Any ISP, if you want to get at least 90% speed from your subscription package, must use a LAN connection instead of WIFI. What's the point of ISP providers given those wifi routers that cant even perform. Might as well lower the price, get users to buy their own WiFi routers instead! If you want to get highspeed internet on WIFI network, please buy your own router. Besides, nobody uses LAN connection in modern days. Everyone is on their mobile devices. My suggestion to ISP is that speed package below 300Mbps stick to AC1200 while above it such as 500mbps at least give us AX1800 which have theoretical speed of 1.2Gbps on 5GHz band. QUOTE(jcws87 @ Jul 17 2021, 12:45 PM) Weird, i think it not the router fault. Cos from my understanding, ppl using Tp-link C6 can hit 500Mbps. I am curious on some thing. 1. fibre quality? 18db1.Do you know the reading of your fiber line? 2.Do you mind to share the speedtest screen shot? 3.Other than testing with your Intel AC9560, have you test with hp like Samsung S20 and above or Iphone 12 and above? 3. my Note10 Plus and iPhone Pro 12 Max unable to pull above 400mbps |

QUOTE(kskoay @ Aug 2 2021, 12:28 PM) That means they will not provide us the login credentials to dial up the internet connection? Like what unifi and time did…. your PPPoe login credential can be found in ALLO website under your account > Profile but won't show the password.. Assuming ALLO holds it, doesn't want customer to fiddle with the ONU setting. |
