QUOTE(ahwang12321 @ Jun 14 2021, 03:26 AM) I have a few logitech products they are never spoilt but nver tried their keyboards If Logitech stuck with mainly using Cherry MX switches in their keyboards, I would have thought the same, but, sadly, they decide to be "unique" Still wishing we get a "unifying receiver" Cherry MX keyboard from Logitech one day. (I know there are Chinese PCBs for that) This post has been edited by GRexer: Jun 14 2021, 11:06 AM

QUOTE(trespasser @ Jun 25 2021, 01:55 PM) Hi all; Recently during housekeeping found these 2 keyboards. One is printed as JIOR T1000, another is 6511-TW as shown below. Is both of these considered as Mech Keyboard? The original coiled wiring still there albeit separated from the keyboard for JIORT1000. Is it still salvageable? The JIOR T1000 looks like using ALPS switches (but can't confirm since the photo isn't clear enough), while the 6511-TW looks like a membrane keyboard. This is likely what your T1000 is Rin-Teck RT-1000This post has been edited by GRexer: Jun 27 2021, 12:13 PM

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Jul 16 2021, 07:50 PM) where can i get a keyboard with left handed numpad? example: The most recent example available is HEX6C by Hexkeyboards in Singapore. They just only shipped after going thru Group Buy but not sure if they have any extras. "Some assembly is required"

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Jul 21 2021, 01:21 PM) Any suggestion of a Medium Tactile switch? Not super tactile like T1, Boba U4T, Zealios V2 and Holy Panda. Not light like Brown and Pewters. So far can only think of Ergo Clears, Naevy and Durock Medium. Not too sure if the Akko CS Ocean Blue or Lavender Purple would be up your alley of "Medium Tactile" or not, plus side is that they are cheap enough to experiment with.

QUOTE(Cheehow888 @ Aug 1 2021, 02:56 PM) I have some question , just curious does JWK/Everglide Panda Gold Plated Wire Keyboard Stabilizer Plate Mounted Stabilizer will fit on tecware phantom L low. Short story: It does not. Long story: It may fit but not properly. The reason for that is that in a standard MX style configuration, the "gap" between the plate and the PCB is 4mm, so the clips in the plate-mount stabilizers clip in to the plate at 4mm. In the Phantom L low profile, the "gap" is lower than 4mm (I believe it is 3.2mm if I ain't mistaken), so, while it fits inside the hole, it does not clip in properly and will be taller in height.

QUOTE(Cheehow888 @ Aug 1 2021, 04:13 PM) If I would like to replace the stabilizer, which stabilizer do you think I should get? If I may ask, why do you feel the need to replace the stabilizers? Was it because you "read" that some people say JWK are better? Why not try to at least tune the stabilizers. The world these days is all about "I need/must replace with something better", but, at least, give it a shot at trying to improve on what you already have. Unless, of course, unfortunately, you broke the stabilizer, in that case, I would say you may need to contact Tecware for a replacement, coz there are currently no aftermarket replacements available. Even switches only just started being sold recently.

QUOTE(Cheehow888 @ Aug 2 2021, 05:16 PM) That i was using that keyboard to play some games, when i applied on the spacebar it feel abit weird then i took off the keycaps and saw one of the stem was broken =( Is this case, I think the only choice is to contact Tecware for warranty/support as I don't think there are "readily available" low profile stabilizers in the market, yet.

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Aug 8 2021, 03:55 AM) Does anyone knows if it's possible to replace switches on the Razer Huntsman Mini to Gateron optical? It's not possible. They don't share the same "construction method"

QUOTE(underscore_lee @ Aug 8 2021, 02:58 PM) Hi guys, im still new at this so let me know if this is a stupid question - im using RK61 with red switches, and thinking of buy new keycaps to make the typing sounds nicer (more 'muted'? ASMR kind). Looking at this honey & milk keycaps. Want to know if changing the keycaps would make a difference in the sound: https://shopee.com.my/product/385045247/648...56-1628405738.9Thanks for your advice. Just gotta remember this "there are no stupid questions" A keycap change would change the sound profile for sure, in fact, any changes would change the sound as sound is a result of vibrations. Different keycap materials, different keycap thickness, different keycap profile, all would change the sound profile. Lower profile will generally sound "quieter" You could always search YouTube for a sample sound of the keycap sound, while not 100% reflective of the sound you would get, most people who upload on YouTube would have likely have the same keyboard with different keycap profiles too, especially the less popular keyboard content YouTubers. (Since it's becoming a norm for "popular keeb content YouTubers" to only feature high end keyboard related content)

QUOTE(niakulah @ Aug 15 2021, 04:06 PM) Dang you're fast! I was just looking at this the other day and thinking I could pair it with BOW alphas to make a knock off Rudy. But that colour is really off man. That's actually quite the big brain matching

QUOTE(krayden @ Aug 29 2021, 03:56 PM) Need to pry the top case tabs off the bottom case holes. If I do Im sure I would break something. You should buy a proper pry tool. It's not too expensive. QUOTE(red streak @ Aug 29 2021, 04:16 PM) No other set has these that I'm aware of. Even the China clones have uniform height and so did the stock Filco caps. I'm not a big fan of the design choice but it's not a big deal. Just my OCD slapping me inside every now and then when I glance at the keyboard. The bumps were enough to differentiate the "guide" keys for touch-typing. Thanks bro, was almost poisoned into buying some Feker Pandas a few hours ago. Managed to resist...for now. The "dished" homing keys are more common on spherical keycap sets than having the bar on those keys. When you said "Even the China clones have uniform height and so did the stock Filco caps", that's coz they are non spherical(typically Cherry, OEM, ODM profile). DSA, SA, MT3 and other similar spherical has that dish. I agree having both the dish and the bar isn't common but to expect spherical keycaps to be "uniform" across means you really need to touch type more on your keycaps instead of looking at them. Having a dish makes more sense on these than a bar in proper touch typing. This post has been edited by GRexer: Aug 29 2021, 07:37 PM

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Aug 30 2021, 12:46 AM) I bought Akko Neons for my Gateron red switches. After placing the keycaps on them, it wobbles quite a bit on some keys. How do I fix it? Putting a small square of 3M scotch tape over the stem then fitting the keycaps.

QUOTE(krayden @ Sep 12 2021, 06:35 PM) Btw, how much you charge to solder 3 led? If you pass me just the PCB, I guess, I can just do it for free as a courtesy, if there's any disassembly involved then it'll be my standard "minimum charging fee".
