CUP35 will constantly send reminders about low account balance during a call. Very annoying :


Tested 4 minutes call to Maybank international number, it is unlimited as advertised.


Conclusion :
HUP35 is better for not nagging Subscribers to topup even though the credit balance is Zero Ringgit.

If other telco can offer valuable and useful rewards, why not do the same?

HUP35 has better rewards than CUP35. Hopefully, GX38 will follow too.

Oh yeah... among the telcos that offer valuable rewards, I found only DiGi and Maxis/Hotlinks offerings are "worth" to try... Yellow Momok is still sleeping in the corner... Perhaps they will give a shock on the Postpaid plan(s) rather than prepaid... A totally drastic move with tagline:

"Unlimited Validity, Internet and Call with DiGi Postpaid DP35" ... LOL

Yes... the points will double in Gold Level... But those points are not permanent. So, don't put high hopes on the rewards/vouchers offered but at least we can enjoy the "little" perks every month... it is indirectly "cashback" but not in Ringgit Malaysia denomination...

We do not need to do any topup or purchase to collect these points... Just open the app daily and tap 2 of the "collect" buttons... no hidden agenda as of now (in terms of collecting the points) and I have redeemed many rewards with satisfactory experience. Do read the TnC before redeem any offers as some does have hidden agenda...

Kind of confusing but as long as it's not RM1 for 1-day validity, it's a good "feature"...

So, am I right to assume that the topup in Ringgit Malaysia to the DiGi Prepaid does not have "fixed" validity if we subscribed to GB28? The validity follows the GB28 expiry date? Yes... No...?

Today I give the Huawei Mate 10 Pro a rest... For the last 2 days, the modem has sucked in around 25GB of "unlimited" "DL/UL data" from CUP12 (7 days) subscription.



UL speed is not great for video call though:

Say the account has RM22 (balance from topup RM50 for 50 days validity; RM50 - RM28 = RM22). So in order to "re-new" GB28, we just topup RM6 (but no such denomination; so must topup RM10; validity is still 50 days as before); later the system "auto-renew" the GB28, the brand new validity is no more follow the previous 50 days but sort of "OVERWRITTEN" by the validity of GB28 (i.e. 30 days)... is this correct?

Nice... so in conclusion, the "fixed" monthly commitment is always RM30 (because the topup denomination is RM10, RM20, RM30, RM50, etc.). Just non-stop topup RM30 every 31st day, 62th day, 93th day, etc and the validity will follow GB28 all the time...

I like this "validity" feature that DiGi has introduced. Less headache compare to CUP35. Validity system for HUP35 is also str8 forward but less "extra" Ringgit in account compared to DiGi Prepaid system.

No other telco/mvno can challenge XOX in terms of validity... well... perhaps UniFi Mobile #BEBAS is the main challenger for XOX...didn't invest any single sen for the past 1.5 years since webe prepaid was introduced and all 10 SIMs still active ...



Been with XOX for the past 2 years and 6 months... No complaints so far...

I use XOX to "park" 2 numbers... one for old office number (which is now kind of dying; so might kill it next year). The other is for "spam" calls/SMSs....those website forcing us to enter mobile number, I use this XOX number... they can sell/spam/call how many times they want...This XOX "spam" account also has 500MB monthly data acts as a backup if the primary SIM is dead for some reason...so, even if the primary SIM is out of coverage or in the dead-zone coverage, the XOX dummy/spam SIM saves the day ... there were numerous times this dummy XOX has "covered" the "weakness" of GX50/58 for the past 2.5 years...

Yeah... Cannot redeem between 12am till 3am every day... The system is like doing lottery Magnum 4D calculations to randomly choose who will get what offers... LOL...

Are you doing online studies at home or move around & about?

If at home (assuming do not have wired broadband) like 75% of the month, just get the UniFi Air. Take the SIM only plan becoz no 24-month contract.

It'll be the same even if we subscribed to any unlimited mobile internet as prolonged downloding/uploading using phone modem will damage the phone altogether. Hence, "looters" will buy modded modem to abuse the unlimited DL/UL privilege; which lead to Fair Usage Policy (FUP) enforcement.

I'm now testing/subscribing the CUP12 (7 days Unlimited Pass @ RM12). Edy exceeded 25GB just for 2 days usage.


But the phone will get hot (luke warm...) due to heavy downloading in the background :



Hypothetical conclusion :
CUP35 allowing an average of 15GB/day limit which amounting to:
= > 15GB x 30 days
= > 450GB per month.

HUP35 is having FUP Limit of:
= 50GB (3Mbps) + <150GB (512kbps)
= < 200GB per month.

Conclusion :
"Looters" will attack CUP35 for truly unlimited internet per month until Celcom block/suspend their account or access (if detected by their algorithm).

"Productivity" speed:

Conclusion :
YouTube and other non-"Productivity" apps & activities will be using CUP35/HUP35 speed; while "Productivity" apps & activities will consume 1GB MCO quota/speed.

Just an "arbitrary" server to demonstrate non-streaming "server"... we can goto any server(s) because Ookla is "assumed" as "Productivity" activities....

Correct because minimum of 4Mbps is the "recommended" Upload speed. But no harm to try-cuba-tengok-test all the Unlimited Passes offered by various telco becoz they are all non-contract plans...
