Shortly after Hotlink introduced its Prepaid Unlimited offering, Celcom is now introducing its “Truly Unlimited Prepaid” that’s priced from RM12. Similar to Hotlink and U Mobile GX30, the speeds are capped at 3Mbps. The new Xpax unlimited passes come in two options – weekly and monthly. The monthly unlimited pass costs RM35 and it has 3GB of hotspot data. Meanwhile, the weekly unlimited pass costs RM12 and it comes with 1GB of hotspot data. Similar to Hotlink, the passes also come with unlimited calls to all network. The hotspot data is also speed capped at 3Mbps. If you need more, you can purchase extra hotspot quota at RM1 for 1GB which is valid for 1 day or RM3 for 5GB that’s valid for 3 days. If you need faster speeds with no speed cap, you can purchase the Ultra Hour pass which costs RM1 per hour or RM2 for 3 hours (Promo: 6 hours). It is also available at RM5 for 12 hours and RM8 for 24 hours. Do note that Ultra Hour passes isn’t applicable for hotspot usage. It also says Celcom’s Fair Usage Policy applies but there’s no mention of any hard cap or quota limit before your speed gets throttled. The T&C only mentions throttle speed of 64kbps for those that fully utilised their quota and P2P traffic is also throttled to 64kbps. |

QUOTE(destiny017 @ Jun 9 2020, 05:33 PM) First Hotlink, now Celcom, later Digi join too?since digi is the only one without unlimited plan on prepaid DiGi has been selling the RM1 for unlimited 3Mbps connection for quite some already to a limited number of their long time customers.Interesting to see if they'll now extend it to all their prepaid customers or update it to match's Hotlink's and Umobile's 6Mbps. The RM1 was a special plan with unlimited daily allowance with renewal. If you allowed it to auto renew daily it would cost just RM30 monthly and you can top it up with other high speed offers such as 10GB midnight/morning offers on demand.they should probably simplify it. They can't go too much out to open up this sort of plan to every DiGi user because they know their Infinite plan sales will take a serious hit and soon one by one their subscribers will either downgrade or port out. |

They might extend now to all Prepaid users after Hotlink and Celcom already made their move. Also it would be great if they start selling monthly unlimited call bundle on top of this to level the playing field. DiGi's on demand daily off peak midnight/early morning RM2 for 10GB already a best seller for those during MCO without fixed line at home. This sort of on demand plans are very convenient as it allows you to subscribe when you desperately need them instead of buying a specific bundle for the entire month or week periods. |

QUOTE(syahpian @ Jun 9 2020, 07:25 PM) Thanks for the info. If this is true will be really good unlimited prepaid internet plan, can fight with digi unlimited 3mbps.Latest celcom base plan also come with unlimited onedrive (full speed and doesn't need to subscribe to any internet plan. And WhatsApp, but not sure about the speed. |

But otherwise, I agree that if they go too far, it will cannibalise the sales of Digi Postpaid 100 Infinite. So there is also a chance that they will just come up with a pass to match Hotlink and Xpax offering, like what Xpax is doing today. |

Hi all sifus,
I am currently using Yoodo. Contemplating to port out due to bad line at workplace, but my question is is Celcom line similar with Yoodo? (since Yoodo is part Celcom) If it is, then I might consider Hotlink unlimited prepaid instead. |

Only umobile got the most neat, easiest and low friction online mnp process so far. Buy a new physical sim from anywhere convenient for you, register online, wait till finish. All other telco, celcom imcluded need to visit their physical shop or service center, or can do online but need to order physical sim from telco own website and wait few days for postage. It's like they purposedly make it harder to give our money to them.

After 44 hours, I am passed the 20GB mark on a weekly plan, RM12/week for 3mbps.
The old plan was RM12/week, 3mbps with 18GB quota. Let see how much it can go. 🤭 |

QUOTE(Candy12 @ Jun 9 2020, 05:43 PM) DiGi has been selling the RM1 for unlimited 3Mbps connection for quite some already to a limited number of their long time customers. was using Digi with this unlimited package for quite a times dy~Interesting to see if they'll now extend it to all their prepaid customers or update it to match's Hotlink's and Umobile's 6Mbps. anyway there is still a big different compare with celcom & hotlink, both of the telco provide RM35 unlimited internet + CALLS! while Digi RM1 unlimited only for internet and calls will be charged differently, plus Digi only for selected customer so not everyone can get it~~~ |

Umobile Postpaid to UMobile Prepaid also can... Don't know why certain telcos restricted the MNP from Post- to Prepaid despite under the same "umbrella".

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Jun 11 2020, 12:39 PM) Yes I did that along time ago... So far I only remember Maxis/Hotlink not allowed. Quite surprised that Celcom/Xpax also not allowed... postpaid can get higher revenue than prepaid.Very strange "system"... its not system problem. they just dont want customer decreasing their income. |

That’s why they don’t bother so much to public sector |

Does anyone know if the data from surfing Forum Lowyat is drawn from the daily free 1GB MCO data or from our normal subscribed mobile data ?
I am trying out the Xpax Unlimited data pass now at a capped speed of 3Mbps. Speed is stable at 3Mbps whilst normal full speed now is between 16-17GB. Browsing Forum Lowyat does seem slightly slower than Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited RM45 pass that comes with a capped speed of 6Mbps but still not a deal-breaker. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 11 2020, 01:38 PM) Maxis has always allowed service migration from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink Prepaid and vice-versa but not from Maxis Postpaid to Hotlink Postpaid. I tried to change my maxis postpaid to prepaid just now, CS told me need to use minimum 6 months only can proceed. They never told me when i port in maxis previously, they said can change any plan anytime and no contract when i port in. FK maxis. The plan that you use unfortunately really has become obsolete. Currently under maxis postpaid + 1 sub line. Need to change my subline to standalone maxis plan only can port in both line to this xpax unlimited. |

Maxis allowed service migration from postpaid to prepaid without waiting for 6 months last time. However, the latest Maxis postpaid black and white T&C now clearly states you can only do so 6 months later and is now enforced.Likewise, I had changed from Digi prepaid to Digi postpaid and later back to Digi prepaid 1 1/2 month only on Digi postpaid. This was 2 years ago. |

Do not feel so happy. Better double check the case number as they gave me a case number after I called in. Then, they close that case and raise another ticket without telling me about it. Later on I found out, they cherry picked the issues and only acknowledge the issue that they manage to fix and close the new case. Normally, as a consumer we don't bother to check the details but the the moment I saw a case number that I cannot recall, I feel something is not right. Until now, they still taichi with my issues. |

in the tnc, it says the unlimited internet is "limited time offer", I'm definitely not gonna migrate to the new prepaid if unlimited internet is not a permanent offer. Don't mind slight price increase though but im not sure which exactly does it mean by limited time offer, can someone elaborate

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 21 2020, 08:31 PM) If you use Ookla Speedtest, then it will always show full speed. But if you use fast.com to check your speed, you then will get around 3Mbps, the capped speed for the said monthly pass. QUOTE(destiny017 @ Jun 21 2020, 08:37 PM) Definitely MCO data, the free data just need redeem one time for whole month, and redeem again on next month 1st for whole month again, maybe you redeem before? ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, from Fast.com it does shows 30Mbps speed limit. |

Hence, stop using Ookla speedtest.net unless we change the Ookla server to outside Malaysia....

CUP35 has managed to cling to 4G+ all the time in Shah Alam region... Hence, very good energy consumption on my 2 years old Who-R-We Mate 10 Pro : nexona88 liked this post

For me, the "possible" culprit is previous telco.
Why? Before MNP to current telco, me never have scammers SMS under previous telco. Only after MNP-o, the 1st SMS received. The theories behind are: 1) The previous telco will sell our number to Scammers becoz we edy left the service. So, Subscribers can no longer take action to previous telco. 2) By doing action (1), Subscribers will start to blame current telco for receiving such scam SMS while not receiving when in previous telco. So, the blame was directly pointed to the current telco. 3) By doing action (1), the "revenge" to the "innocent" Subscriber is fulfilled... LOL... p/s : For casual discussion only... |

There's also blasting sms scammer ... they just whack whatever number blocks and hopes users don't realize whats happening ... I sometimes argue with some people that its easy to make money .... just setup premium sms server and blast everyone .... every month make a million or two ... if kena revoke by skmm then setup new ones ... never ending story of capitalist hyenas ... |

Only can choose between celcom or hotlink prepaid plan Don't says much about U Mobile..Then he says u have hidden agenda.. working for rival company trying to spoiled U Mobile name 🤭 For now.. U installed OpenSignal apps... Then u can see which network gives better speed... Pick that one... |

QUOTE(lurkingaround @ Jul 17 2020, 02:23 PM) Yes... but will subscribe CUP35 right before 30 days validity ended... now me have extra 10 days validity (which is translated to RM10 reload value) after reloaded RM30 yesterday... IOW, topup RM30 gets 30+10 days validity ... these 10 days extra just using the free all-day 1GB MCO quota... On the 11th day later, then only re-subscribe back the CUP35.... |

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Jul 26 2020, 11:51 PM) It might sound expensive and doesn't worth at all if you did subscribe to any data plan every month. But there is some people out there just use their phone to make few calls per month and doesn't subscribe to any monthly data plan. So for them extend validity is more worth it than keep reloading their number every month just to keep it active. For me RM50 for 2 years consider quite reasonable already as for example like Digi extend one year of validity can cost up to RM108 per year which is like RM9 per month compared to Xpax which only cost around RM2 per month. |

Except for Ambassador Zero......it seem whatever expensive to you lo.... Go lo.... using Unifi....since it is the right one for you. Xpensive for you doesn't it is expensive for other who want it solely for parking number or whatever.. Or MNP lo to XOX and get FREE 1 time 28months validity since i bet you won't be using any data plan since it is expensive as per your saying. |

For me RM50 for 2 years consider quite reasonable already as for example like Digi extend one year of validity can cost up to RM108 per year which is like RM9 per month compared to Xpax which only cost around RM2 per month. how to keep xpax number active with just rm2 per month? |

QUOTE(WoshiAngelSon @ Aug 3 2020, 03:41 PM) Ported to CUP 35 2 days ago. So far can get full 3mbps, 1080p Youtube smooth also. The 1gb daily is not applicable for Youtube right? It consumes the 3mbps. Therefore, i assume this plan is pretty good. The 1GB MCO quota cannot be used for "any" streaming services... |

For a relative who is staying alone now using Digi rm69 plan and Unifi rm60 plan. It depends on the signal reception of the area. So far it's enough for me to stream everyday, although i still use wifi to download large game files. I ported in since hearing ppl said its fup is 1TB. Still trying though. Celcom said it's a limited time offer. Dont know when it last. 😂😂 |

Does Xpax Umlimited have any validity extension? I cannot see in the webpage.
Anyone tried using USSD menu? Like the yellow telco, can only see using USSD menu. Not even in their app. |

QUOTE(LA773 @ Jan 19 2021, 09:20 PM) Is the top up concept same as hotlink? I mean eg if using cup35 now halfway, then i topup rm30, does it stack up or calculate as 30 days from the day I top up ? Validity doesn't accumulate or stack-up. Auto-reload only happens if credit balance is above RM35.Or if setup auto reload, it will auro reload at the end of my 30 days? Tq |

Just want to confirm if this Xpax Unlimited line is as good as normal Celcom line. I know it is 3Mbps, then now also can pay extra RM10 for 6Mbps. I am using Onexox now and very satisfied with the line, coverage really is good. So, does this Xpax Unlimited line is as good? Or just like U Mobile line that keep shaping the line speed (purposely make the line goes much slower to keep bandwidth) even coverage is good. tauevo liked this post

You can just purchase RM35 internet package by choosing payment method boost, online baning or credit/debit card in celcom life apps.Or cash purchase at celcom/xpax dealer. If you want touup any amount also can as long as meet RM35. |

If we reload 10 days earlier before expire, then when it auto renew for next month, this means our validity left 20 days?
And after the 20 days, it falls under grace period and we kena pay to activate? |

Anyone knows if "Change Pass/ Plan" process is similar to MNP where user have to activate & validate or is it just plug and play once you receive the SIM card?

any celcom rep here? wanna ask about the cheaper plan that i can downgrade to (less than RM45 per month), while maintaining the same number. i'm using an old plan - celcom blue 2.0 with monthly bill RM45 (exclude tax).
what i want in the new plan: - more data (i have 5GB per month, +5GB weekend right now). - can tether internet - get daily covid 1GB data (poor man's 30GB/month internet) - more phone call (i have 60 minutes right now) kindly recommend |

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Mar 21 2021, 08:08 PM) You do need to MNP to another mobile carrier first, then MNP back to either Xpax Prepaid or Xpax Lite Postpaid 30 days later. To be honest, MNP to another mobile carrier nowadays is very easy. So this shouldn't deter anyone from porting out to another mobile carrier. Just walk-in to Digi or Maxis, say you want to port-in to their prepaid plan. You don't have to pay a single cent to port-in to a prepaid plan. Walk-out, then wait for SMS from Celcom to confirm your intention to leave Celcom. That's all. Skylinestar liked this post

QUOTE(LA773 @ Jun 18 2022, 10:23 PM) I just kena this same message from celcom just now... Din't celcom mentioned this "new" unlimited 7 or 30 days Data plan with the 60gb cap would not affect old xpax unlimited subscriber in any way what-so-ever ?Mine sim card is around 2 years already, xpax prepaid before they capped quota at 60gb i believe now. Celcom also mentioned that old unlimited subbers since day 1 till the cut-off day would still technically be on unlimited usage with no day, week or month soft cap or are they u-turning now ? Other than calling 0196011111, are there any other way to initiate MNP to xpax? I received the sim already, but their line is busy since morning.

Contact celcom cs on twitter. Every telco twitter cs is fast, way better than other channel like email, call etc. Whenever i have issue or wanna initiate mnp after receiving sim, twitter is my goto. That number is also their official whatsapp business account, could try there too if u don't have twitter account.
