As long as you’re on Maxis Postpaid or Hotlink Postpaid and are using one of the devices listed on Maxis VoLTE page, you’ll eventually receive carrier update to enable Maxis VoLTE.

The old hotlink plan, forgot what name.. Not unlimited, but atleast with rm50 that i paid for current one i can just have data add ons(rm3 for 10gb on midnight 1-7am) and with unlimited speed.. I only endured with this 6mbps as i thought this will be unlimited.. Had i know it is capped at 50gb better i keep using the old plan and just buy 10gb every midnight once needed.. As for daytime at work, i can either buy daily/weekly pass or just use my office supplied digi..

Also on the maxis app the hotlinkMU offer is sometimes quite decent so i tend to get that as well

You can change to Hotlink Prepaid Video plan. May be there are some add-on passes more suitable to your needs.

What do you mean by over abuse?
Is watching online TV considered abusive data usage?
In fact, it shouldn't even be advertised as unlimited when there's FUP limit. It's a misleading ad. It should state 3Mbps or 6Mbps up to 50GB per month. Then it's clear transparent to customer. I know its still considered unlimited because that provide 512kbps after the FUP, but this TnC is stated in another Q&A page, which is not straightforward. One needs to research more to understand the package.

Using mobile device to track the data usage may be a way to monitor the data usage from customer end, but how about from service provender end?

this is how malaysia works. everything comes with a tiny 'terms and conditions applied'. even for banking services. users just got to be smart and do their own homework.

Welcome to Malaysia friend the fine line is after 50gb itd 512kbps so consider unlimited. No choice Malaysia don't appreciate extra or bonus. Previous many fourmer show-off they abuse terabyte of data's no throttled.  Now telco smart they start putting FUP so everyone can enjoy the data so yes its consider abusing data usage because if your goal to watch movie high definition and crazy even 10tb is not enough so isn't that call data abuser? You need plan your usage.

Like I watch Netflix I take celcom broadband with 1tb  until now cannot finish then at home I use unifi unlimited. I don't take hotlink unlimited for a phone abuse data then said watching TV online consider abusing right?

All telco got fup question is how much.  This you need thank malaysian that overabuse it then they show off their success online so some of us can't abuse lightly.
*
This kind of practice isn’t unique to Malaysia. Even in the west where consumer rights are better protected, they all do the same too. Just refer to USA’s T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon unlimited plan. All markets their unlimited plan but with FUP. Some market it more like MaxisONE Prime, as in no hard FUP but after a certain usage they may their absolute discretion cap your mobile speed. I suppose t&c like this is the reason why some MaxisONE Prime subscribers experienced almost unusable data after they have reached 300GB FUP whilst some didn’t, because Maxis says whether they will throttle your video steaming speed is at their absolute discretion.

Anyway screw that, I am using celcom unlimited , better network coverage at my area, it just don't have unlimited call or sms. Let see what is the limit of celcom unlimited next.
*
What Celcom unlimited plan you are talking about that doesn’t have unlimited calls or SMS ? Is it Celcom Home Wireless or Celcom MEGA Unlimited M/L ? Celcom MEGA Unlimited M/L do have unlimited calls.

most frustrating part is no esim for Hotlink prepaid.
*
Could be a ploy for you to use their postpaid service. But of course this is just my wild guess. Similar to how Maxis VoLTE is available only to Maxis Postpaid and to certain devices only. Then again in the case of VoLTE, eventually Maxis and Celcom will have no choice but to fully enable VoLTE as 3G is to be shut down end of next year. During the early days of Digi VoLTE roll out, there were many problems too. But now Digi VoLTE works even on standalone modem that supports VoLTE. So I believe both VoLTE and VoWiFi will come to all Maxis customers eventually, they are just buying themselves time.

I truly doubt Maxis & Celcom will implement VoWiFi, boasting widest 4G LTE nationwide coverage but implementing VoWiFi is degrading themselves
*
That is hardly the reason they do not want to implement VoWiFi. It’s actually the loss of income in roaming fees. But that said, the US Big 3 all have implemented VoWiFi despite Verizon having the best LTE/LTE-A coverage in US. We don’t know for sure if Maxis and Celcom won’t eventually introduce VoWiFi. But of course, they still can disable VoWiFi from working overseas. Digi blocked VoWiFi outside Malaysia during the early days. And in United Arab Emirates, all VoIP is blocked. Free service like WhatsApp call doesn’t work in UAE.

Hi sifu2, how come I don't have the free credit in my hotlink app?
I am using hup45
*
Free credit as in ? You need to accept the HotlinkMU offer first, then reload accordingly. The free credit will be added to your account in a few minutes time. Sometimes if there’s a delay it’s up to 1 hour or so.

I can't even see the HotlinkMU. This picture is from my friend and it is not mine.

It means you aren’t getting the reload offer. One of my Hotlink numbers do not have HotlinkMU reload offer either.

Wah, got such thing? So unfair...

Some people have previously speculated that you have enjoyed the HotlinkMU reload offer a few times, so your account isn't offered with any new offer anymore. But this isn't true.

Thank you. I guess have to wait then. Please help anyone.

There are dealers doing MNP on Shopee. You need to pay a little bit of fee (RM10 or so) for their service whereas walking in to Maxis Centre is totally free of charge for porting in to a Hotlink Prepaid plan.

Some users have it, some don't. I have a few Hotlink numbers. One account doesn't have this offer. I had taken up the offer once only. Then it never appeared again.

I mean for my kid sry... he used 30gb just in 1week, so this unlimited prepaid definitely can use 1 month hehe.

Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited has a FUP of 50GB only. It looks like Celcom Xpax Prepaid Unlimited is more suitable for your kid.

Best HotlinkMU offer currently available is probably 5Mbps@RM36.
