Any Linux sifu here knows why sometimes my soundcard gets initialize but sometimes it doesnt? I'm not running on VMWare but doing a dual boot with Vista.

If u can't boot into the GUI and u'r Xconf is messed up try :
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg at the recovery console and try to reset u'r settings. I've tried that a million times last Saturday to get Ubuntu to run at 1920 * 1200 res. These things are supposed to be easy but apparently not. Oh well, at least its working now. If only Ubuntu runs Photoshop CS..then i won't need to boot back into Windows. Tried Deluge on Windows. Sad to say, it performs just like Bitcomet or even slower. Heck, my PC even BSOD.
I'm back to Ubuntu for the time being. |
